It is for this reason. To kill is to kill. A bhikshuni is to be expelled. The term "expulsion" means to make a bhikshuni improper. To cause dissension in the Sangha is to divide the Sangha into two by means of creating desire for different views and paths. To tolerate different views and paths is to divide, because it appears as such. "For the sake of vows" means to be the vessel for the arising of vows. The intention of asking here is that because of not killing one's mother, not killing one's father, expelling a bhikshuni, and causing dissension in the Sangha, such as committing these deeds of immediate retribution, the Blessed One said that the arising of vows is not permissible. However, in some other ways, it is also said that vows should arise, so please tell me about this. Not killing one's mother, not killing one's father, expelling a bhikshuni, and causing dissension in the Sangha are merely examples of killing an arhat and maliciously drawing blood from the Tathagata. The answer to this is: It is said in consideration of killing with the consciousness of others, and so on. Similarly, here in the scripture: Monks, if monks give full ordination to someone who has not been killed, should it be said that they have given full ordination, or that they have not given full ordination? Some attendants say that they have given full ordination, and some say that they have not given full ordination. If one has not been killed by the consciousness of another, or by the action of another, then this is said to have given full ordination, and should not be abandoned even after full ordination. If someone intentionally thinks and does not kill, then this is said to have not given full ordination, and should be abandoned even after full ordination. Just as not killing one's mother, so too is killing one's father, and killing an arhat. In another case, it is said in consideration of parents belonging to the realm of animals. Similarly, here in the scripture: Monks, after a monk kills his parents, he will not change in the end, and it is not seen that he will be touched by the sin of immediate retribution, is it? Yes, if the parents are animals...

It means that they belong to the place of birth, etc. Another explanation is that it is said in that way considering the parents who can give birth. Similarly, here the scripture is: Venerable, if the mother gives birth and others raise, then who will be killed to fall into the extreme, and will also be touched by the uninterrupted sin? It means who gave birth. Therefore, the Sutra masters think that the two kinds of beings who are not human are not. From those two, one will not fall into uninterrupted sin. That is from the two who can give birth. Killing the mother, etc., is said to be the main thing to do that. Another explanation is that it is said in that way considering the killing of the mother who was born from the semen falling from the sky and put into the womb of others. Similarly, from where blood is produced, it is said to be the mother. Or, considering killing the life and attachment of the karma with leaks, it is said in that way. Similarly, here the scripture is: Venerable, the bhikkhu will not fall into the extreme if he kills his father, nor will he be touched by the uninterrupted sin, is it so? Yes, if the life of karma with leaks is killed. Attendant, the life of karma with leaks is called father in the sense of manifesting attainment. Venerable, the bhikkhu will not fall into the extreme if he kills his mother, nor will he be touched by the uninterrupted sin, is it so? Yes, if attachment is killed. Attendant, attachment is called mother in the sense of giving birth. Therefore, it is said: People are born of attachment, this mind flows everywhere, sentient beings belong to samsara, that karma is terrible. It is said like that. Considering that, killing the father and killing the mother, and the two kings who hold precepts, if the country and its dependents are destroyed, then those people will be said to be mediocre. It is said like that. Similarly, the scriptures of expelling bhikkhunis, etc., also mean this. Venerable, if the bhikkhus let a bhikkhuni who has been expelled receive the full ordination, then is it said that she has received the full ordination? Or is it said that she has not received the full ordination? Attendant, some say that she has received the full ordination, some...
