Thus it is said. Similarly, here the text is: Venerable monk, having distributed or given away the dwelling place of the Sangha, without digging a hole or giving it to a boil, nor giving it to a base monk, if it exceeds the vicinity, there is no falling, is it considered so? There is a vicinity, like this, for a monk in that monastery, whichever of the eight obstacles is near. Thus it is said. Similarly, it is also said that apart from other causes. The commentator also said that it does not occur in fear and encounter. Or, it should be known that it is said based on the first-time practitioner and previous failures, etc., as before. The one who strives for vows, etc., is connected to the one who strives for vows, giving suitable Dharma robes to a non-relative nun, why is there no falling? Among them, suitable means without musk, cattle, deer hair, etc. Clothes are for wearing, namely, layered clothes, upper garments, and lower skirts, etc. Relatives are those born from the previous one, from parents to the seventh generation. Non-relatives are those who are not relatives, that is, to her. Giving means complete giving. No falling means no fault, thus it is said, which means the Blessed One said so, that is, connected to must say. The meaning here is, when a monk gives suitable clothes to a non-relative nun, at that time, if it is certain that it will cause a falling offense to her, however, the Blessed One said that there is no falling for her in some way, for this, please tell me the reason. The answer to this is: that should be seen as said based on the best and better. Similarly, here the text is: Venerable monk, giving clothes to a non-relative nun, there is no falling, is it considered so? There is a vicinity, the clothes at an elbow are the best, or that is the size of the Sugata's Dharma robe. Or, that is said considering giving in value, similarly, here

The treatise says: Is it considered that a Bhikshu does not incur a downfall by giving clothes to a Bhikshuni who is not a relative? Answer: There is a close cause, that is, exchanging things for things. Or, this is said based on offering clothes to the Sangha, or speaking well, or bestowing full ordination, or lost property, or lending. Similarly, the treatise here is: Is it offering clothes to the Sangha? Is it giving to those who speak well? Is it giving to those who bestow full ordination? Is it lost property? Is it lending? There is no downfall, that is what is said. Or, it is said considering beginners, etc., as before. Staying in one boundary means staying within the boundary. Many means four, etc. Not giving food means that for these people, the eating and preparation of food, etc., are not taken care of or given at all, so it is not giving food. Different means each. Eating means eating, it should be used with "Bhikshus". The thought on this is: When in one boundary, four Bhikshus, etc., each eat with their bowls, then, for those who gather and eat, they will incur a downfall. If they take care of with food, then at that time there will definitely be no downfall, this is certain. Then, the World Honored One said in some place that there is no downfall, you should explain the reason for this, that is what is said. The answer to this is: This is said considering that there are times. Similarly, the treatise here is: Gathering and eating out of season will incur a downfall, etc. Similarly, another treatise on this is: Bhikshus gathering and begging for food, also do not incur a downfall, is that considered? Answer: There is a close cause, that is, any one of the six times is near. Or, it is said considering three Bhikshus eating. Similarly, the treatise here is: Bhikshus in one place and one boundary, many Bhikshus begging for food or not begging for food separately, also do not incur a downfall, is that considered? Answer: There is a close cause

Oh. If it is said, "It is not the fourth of three meals," then that is it. Or, considering that the places of food are determined separately, it was said that way. Similarly, here the text is: Is it seen that a monk gathering and begging will not fall into transgression? There is a nearby attendant, like this, it is okay if the places of food are determined separately. Or, it was said considering beginners and so on, just like before. The so-called "preparing food, etc." means preparing food, etc., permissible, at an improper time, how is the tsampa pure, it is said to be connected like that. Among them, food is what is to be swallowed. Because there are also foods to be swallowed, such as brown sugar, hag, etc., it is said "preparing food, etc." The so-called "preparing" refers to preparing the five things, the root of preparation, stem, leaf, flower, and fruit, etc. By saying "etc.," it includes the five edible things, namely rice, hot tsampa, thin porridge, meat, and fried food, etc. It is the collective term for preparation and edible. Preparation and edible, there are also those that are not allowed, such as elephants, horse meat, etc., and there are also those mixed with what is not allowed, so it is said "allowed," that is, it becomes allowed. The so-called "improper time," time refers to the period from dawn until the end of noon. The opposite of that is improper time, it is there. The so-called "swallowing" is swallowing. Purity means without transgression. The so-called "resolving doubt" is eliminating doubt. The summarized meaning here is, when a monk eats food that should not be prepared or eaten at an improper time, then he will incur a transgression of falling, we have no disagreement on that. However, the Blessed One said in some way that there is no transgression for this, therefore please eliminate my double-mindedness. This is the doubt to be resolved, that is, it was said because of going to another place and eating at an improper time. Similarly, here the text is: Monks at the time
