Regarding "obtained," such as asking "you," etc. "You" refers to you. "Fruit" refers to the fruit of the noble path, such as entering the stream. The conduct of a monk is the stainless path. "Fruit is conditioned and unconditioned." Therefore. "Like that" refers to the words just spoken. "Thus" means "it is so," which is an affirmation. "Saying" means to speak. "According to meaning" means following the meaning, that is, according to the truth. Here, in this meaning, some people ask, "Have you obtained the fruit?" He also acknowledges and says, "It is so." However, regarding him, the Buddha did not say defeat, please explain it clearly to me. The answer to this is: It should also be regarded as being said in the case where the name is the same but the meaning is different. It is also explained based on other content mentioned in the scriptures. Similarly, here the scripture is: A householder asked a venerable monk, "Have you obtained the fruit?" He also took leaves, fruits, flowers, and unripe fruits, and then he said, "It is so," what would happen? It is a grave offense. Alternatively, that was said considering beginners, etc. In front of a person who can communicate, etc. "Who can communicate" refers to understanding. "Person" refers to a man, that is, a human being. Saying man is only for approximate explanation, and the situation for women should also be regarded as the same. The meaning of "in front" has already been explained. "Four fruits" refers to the four fruits, namely, the nature of stream-enterer, once-returner, non-returner, and Arhat. "Seeing that one" means seeing the true meaning, that is, the perfectly enlightened Buddha. "Is not" is a negation. The question for this is: When, belonging to the human being, who can communicate

It is very certain that if one declares [spiritual attainments] to someone who is not fully ordained, then at that time he will definitely commit a defeat. However, please tell me the reason why the Bhagavan did not say that he would commit a defeat in some cases. This is because it is said based on expressing meanings with similar names, and it should be understood that it is arranged again after considering the scriptures spoken in different situations. Similarly, here the scripture is: If a monk says this: In the order of practice, I have attained the fruit of stream-entry; in the bird's nest, the fruit of once-returning; on Vulture Peak Mountain, the fruit of non-returning; in the Light Garden, the supreme fruit of Arhatship, what will happen? If he thinks like this: I have received the transmission and recited it here, and I have not been lazy, but have spoken after thinking, then he will commit a serious offense. However, if he declares the fruits of the ascetic path, then that is the final result. A monk speaks of one fruit, etc. Here, one fruit means any fruit that one wants to speak of from among the fruits of stream-entry, etc. Another fruit means the fruit of once-returning, etc., other than the fruit of stream-entry, which one does not want to speak of. The meaning here is that if a monk who wants to speak of the fruit of stream-entry, etc., declares another fruit, that is, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, or the state of Arhatship, why is it not said that he will commit a defeat because of that? For this question, you should tell me the connection. The answer here is: This is because it is said based on declaring a fruit that is not one's own realization. Similarly, here the scripture is: If a monk thinks that he has realized the fruit of stream-entry and declares the fruit of once-returning, or thinks that he has realized the fruit of once-returning and declares the fruit of non-returning, or thinks that he has realized the

What would happen if, instead of predicting the fruit of a Stream-enterer, one were to predict the fruit of an Arhat? It would be a grave offense. Similarly, it is said that even a commentator can err. This is the conclusion of the first chapter of the "Vinaya Questions and Answers." Regarding "one who engages in the ten aspects of sexual intercourse," etc., "engaging" refers to the act of ejaculating semen, which is synonymous with "moving from the original position." Because "gina" can also occur, the term "possessing ten aspects" is used. Whoever possesses ten aspects is one who possesses ten aspects, synonymous with ejaculating semen with ten conditions. These ten aspects are: emission, the desire to emit, one's own semen, the original position, the male organ, exertion upon it, touching it, even if it belongs to another, being counted as a sentient being, and abiding in the state of being counted as a sentient being. "Performing Sanghavasesa" refers to the Sangha, such as the twenty Sanghavasesas, that exists for the purpose of rectifying a transgression; this is Sanghavasesa, the transgression depends on the Sangha, and the Sangha karma depends on the Sangha, because it is said in the sutras that one can recover from a Sangha transgression, but not from an individual. One who has the nature of doing this is "performing Sanghavasesa," synonymous with "having a Sanghavasesa transgression occur." "Sugata" refers to one who has abandoned all afflictions and near afflictions, together with their predispositions, and has perfectly realized the suchness of all phenomena. Others say that it means completely going to the irreversible state, or that it is auspicious because one fully knows the special qualities of teaching suchness; in short, it is Tathagata. "Not spoken" means not having taught. "How" means in what way. "Cause" means the efficient cause. Others think that if a monk emits his semen with the ten aspects of emission, etc., then he will incur a Sanghavasesa transgression, and there is no doubt about it. However, for him, the Sangha's
