The answer is this: It is because of stealing from each masha. Similarly, here the scripture says that the monk Bhagavan said that stealing mashas would lead to downfall, then, is it seen that a monk steals five mashas but ultimately does not fall, is there such a case? Yes, if one steals from each masha, or two by two, or three by three, or four by four. Similarly, the author of the sutra also said that each time one steals from the aggregates, it is different. Or, it is said considering the thought of it being lost. Similarly, here the scripture says that the monk Bhagavan said that stealing five mashas would lead to downfall, then, is it seen that a monk steals a thousand mashas but ultimately does not fall, is there such a case? Yes, if one steals with the thought of it being lost. The meaning of "thought of being lost" is, here it is a synonym for the thought of completely abandoning and the thought of not completely abandoning. In "guarding vows, complete value" etc., "complete value" refers to the amount of five mashas etc. Possessions are gold and silver etc., because these provide and maintain life. "From the place" means from the place where it is placed, because it is placed there, so it is the place. "Not moved" means not moved. "Downfall" is to obtain, that is, to become possessed of the ultimate downfall. "Hey" is calling. Combined with "must speak", combined with "must", it is to determine. "Good" is good, that is, a synonym for not contradicting before and after. Regarding this, the thought of others is that if one is judged as defeated merely by moving gold and silver etc. worth five mashas from the place, however, the Bhagavan said that for this one who has not even moved from the place, one will be judged as defeated, then, hey, monk, please definitely tell me without fault. Regarding this, the answer is this: This is said considering moving together with the place and the property. Similarly, here the scripture says that the monk Bhagavan said that moving possessions of complete value from the place would lead to downfall, then, the monk's possessions

Venerable, if an object of complete value is not moved from its original place, will it eventually change? Yes, it will. For example, a situation where something is stolen along with the house. Stealing from the place where it will be placed, that is the meaning. Similarly, the Sutra Master also said, "Not even along with the original place." In "A disciplined one with a stealing mind," etc., "with a stealing mind" means with the intention to steal. "Not given" means not having been given, which is synonymous with "another's property." "Moving" refers to relocating. "Reason" refers to the rationale. The question regarding this is: If it is only stipulated that a Bhikshu commits a Pārājika offense by moving another's property, yet in some cases, it is not said to be a Pārājika offense, please explain the expedient saying in this. The explanation for this is: This is said considering theft that does not involve moving from one place. Similarly, the scripture here is: The Blessed One said to the Bhikshu, if a Bhikshu hides an object of complete value from one place to another, will it eventually change? If a Bhikshu's object of complete value is very far away, but it does not eventually change, will that be the case? Yes, it will. If a Bhikshu's object of complete value is pulled from one end to a very distant place, but the other end does not leave its original position, then a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense is committed. Regarding this, the Sutra Master also said, "Not moving from one place either." "Moving" means one side exceeding the boundary of the base. In "Bhikshu possessing discipline," etc., "possessing discipline" means not having committed a Pārājika offense; possessing discipline is to exclude situations such as breaking discipline. "Possessing five limbs" means possessing the five limbs such as not giving, which is synonymous with "possessing five limbs." "Without transgression" means without falling into transgression. It means "without fault," therefore there is no fault here. "Hesitation" refers to doubt. "Decide" means to determine. The explanation for this is: If a Bhikshu takes full ordination.
