不應當接受男人、孩童、女人、男僕、女僕、勞動者和靠賣酸奶等為生者的供養。不應當通過不正當的謀生手段來獲取財物。不應當虛偽、奉承、拐騙、以多報少,以及希望以獲得的財物來獲取更多的財物。《律本事·沙彌學處經》中,捨棄接受金銀的學處,是第十條學處。 捨棄在家人的標誌,是指不應當像在家人那樣穿著衣服,白天不應當在外面穿著白色的衣服和長袍。可以用三種顏色的染料來改變顏色後穿著,這三種顏色是:土黃色、靛藍色和紅色。八種主要的顏色是不允許使用的,它們是:朱砂、茜草、紅花、藏紅花、靛青、鉛丹、胭脂木和紫膠蟲。所有的法衣都不應當染成藍色。不應當拿著色彩鮮豔的傘。應當像磨刀石一樣修剪指甲。住在寺院裡的人,頭髮不應當超過兩指長。住在村邊的人,頭髮應當比這更短。不應用刀子或剪子剃頭髮。不應當剃腋毛、陰毛、腰毛和眉毛。剃髮後應當洗澡。如果沒有僧眾集會,應當清洗五個部位。在剃髮的地方,應當塗抹灰土並進行熏香。應當畫出像鼓的形狀或像箭頭的形狀的壇城。不應當在眼睛上塗抹眼影。如果眼睛生病了,就沒有過失。不應當照鏡子。為了生起厭離心,就沒有過失。不應當背負沉重的負擔,不應當用肩膀、腰部和頭部來搬運包裹。在水邊,應當用根部來固定帽子。下身的裙子應當穿成圓形,上身也應當穿著法衣。做事情的時候,應當將法衣的邊緣打結後再工作。在任何情況下,都不應當使用任何在家的標誌。

One should not accept offerings from men, children, women, male servants, female servants, laborers, and those who make a living by selling yogurt, etc. One should not acquire wealth through improper means of livelihood. One should not be hypocritical, flattering, deceitful, underreporting gains, or desiring to acquire more wealth with what one has already obtained. In the Vinaya Sutra on the Fundamentals of Novice Monastic Training, the precept of abandoning the acceptance of gold and silver is the tenth precept. Abandoning the marks of a householder means not wearing clothes like a householder, and not wearing white clothes and long robes outside during the day. It is permissible to wear clothes that have been changed in color with three dyes, which are: ochre, indigo, and red. The eight major colors are not allowed, which are: vermilion, madder, safflower, saffron, indigo wood, minium, lac tree, and lac insects. All Dharma robes should not be dyed blue. One should not carry a brightly colored umbrella. Nails should be trimmed like a whetstone. Those living in monasteries should not let their hair grow longer than two fingers' breadth. Those living on the edge of villages should have even shorter hair. One should not cut hair with a knife or scissors. One should not shave armpit hair, pubic hair, waist hair, or eyebrows. One should bathe after shaving the hair. If there is no assembly of monks, one should wash five parts of the body. In the place where the hair is shaved, one should apply ashes and incense. One should draw a mandala in the shape of a drum or an arrowhead. One should not apply eye shadow to the eyes. If the eyes are sick, there is no fault. One should not look at one's face in a mirror. There is no fault for the purpose of generating renunciation. One should not carry heavy burdens, and one should not carry bundles with the shoulders, waist, and head. By the water, one should hold the hat by the root. The lower skirt should be worn in a circular fashion, and the upper body should also be covered with Dharma robes. When doing work, one should tie the edge of the Dharma robe in a knot before working. In all circumstances, one should not use any marks of a householder.
