Living beings that are nourished and sought after, those without feet like snakes and insects, those with two feet like humans, and those with many feet like scorpions, intended to harm others. Stealing oneself, and instigating others to steal, as well as other possessions like gold and silver, stealing with the intention of stealing, if the value is sufficient, it is a defeat. The word "etc." includes stealing human possessions like traps, monkeys, bird cages, Tibetan cages, and fish cages. Here, if a monk steals these things mentioned as his own possessions with the intention of stealing, and if the value is sufficient, it is a defeat. If stealing is not for one's own purpose but with the intention of harming others, it is a defeat. If there is no intention of benefiting or harming either party, tearing and burning them is also a grave offense. If burning slowly with the intention of compassion, it is a minor offense. Stealing the lives occupied by them, if the value is sufficient, it is a defeat. Abandoning them with the intention of not benefiting either party is a grave offense. Abandoning them with the intention of compassion is a minor offense. A treasure belonging to a mantra master, as a place one can possess, if treasure comes from practice, until it is seen with the eyes, it is a grave offense. Having seen it, if the value is sufficient, even without obtaining it in hand, it is a defeat. A treasure without an owner, obtained through practice, until it is seen, it is a minor offense. Having seen it, if the value is sufficient, it is a grave offense. If a thief takes a begging bowl, etc., it should be recovered by teaching the Dharma. Or buy it for an equivalent price. If this is not done, it is a minor offense. This says that taking what is not given should not be done in any way. Like this, if a begging bowl and a razor, which are indispensable for one's livelihood, and robes, etc., are taken and robbed by thieves, one should teach the Dharma to recover the maturation of stealing, that is, the unpleasant maturation. If they still do not give after teaching the Dharma, since these utensils are indispensable for the monk himself, one should buy them for an equivalent price and recover them. If this is not done, taking or robbing them forcibly will result in a minor offense. The second defeat has been explained. The third defeat, the basis for discussing unchaste conduct, is that the Blessed One was staying in a village in the land of Kalandaka. At that time, the householder Kalandaka

After a man named Kai's son, Sangjin, became a monk, his mother said, "Son, you have your parents' wealth to give away. If we servants grow old and die, everything will become the king's property. You can't come back, but at least leave a seed." So, Sangjin's wife, who was menstruating and of age, was adorned and brought to him. The venerable Sangjin, driven by desire and not seeing the faults, engaged in impure conduct. Not long after, the Blessed One, in order to free the monks from the faults of desire, hatred, and ignorance, taught the Dharma that leads to the liberation of the mind and the liberation of wisdom. The venerable Sangjin, remembering his transgression, was deeply remorseful and unhappy. When the monks saw this, they asked him what transgression he had committed. The venerable Sangjin told them the truth. They reported this to the Blessed One, who rebuked Sangjin in various ways and, seeing ten benefits, established a place for learning discipline. One who has vows, with an unwavering mind, in the unwavering three doors, with desire, puts the jewel inside. If one feels joy, the vow is broken. This is engaging in impure conduct and showing one's nature. A disciplined practitioner who has not abandoned the training, abiding in his own nature with an unwavering mind, his mouth, anus, and vulva—these three doors—are not rotten, have no sores, and no worms have entered. Such an unwavering one is able to engage in sexual activity, and with a mind of desire, puts it inside, crosses the boundary, and if he feels joy, the vow is broken, which means defeat. Its limbs are five in number: the mind is not turned away, the three doors are able to engage in sexual activity, there is a mind of desire, one crosses the boundary, and one feels joy. If one does not possess one of these, it is considered a gross offense. A man, a woman, or a hermaphrodite, putting their genitals in and pressing down, whoever experiences the taste of pleasure, their vow will also be broken. This is to say that I, a practitioner of little power and weakness, when a man, a woman, or a hermaphrodite—these three types of people—put their genitals in and press down, when it is put into any of the three doors of me and them, I personally experience and feel joy.
