If a bird in a net says, "Don't kill me," it's better to die, or even if it doesn't die, to regret it later; such admonition becomes a great offense. Regarding the saying "medicine": The origin of killing with poison is that the Blessed One was dwelling in Jeta Grove (Jetavana). There was a wealthy householder named Stob sde who had two sons with his wife. The elder brother was named Sde pa, and the younger brother was named Nye sde. Later, at another time, Sde pa went to another place for business and earned a lot of money, so he stayed there and didn't return for a long time. Then, Sde pa's wife was controlled by lust and repeatedly seduced Nye sde. Nye sde also Later, one day, he had intercourse with her, and she became pregnant. After that, Nye sde heard that Sde pa was coming back, and he was afraid, so he became a monk in Jeta Grove. He later went to his own house, and Sde pa's wife asked him, "My husband is coming back, you have escaped, what should I do?" Nye sde told a doctor friend in detail what had happened. The doctor said, "I will give you a medicine that will cause an abortion and shatter the fetus into pieces." So, he gave the medicine powder to Sde pa's wife, and the child in her womb disappeared. Nye sde was also pleased with the use of the medicine and said nothing. Later, everyone heard about this, and people criticized him as a monk. The monks told the Blessed One about this, and the Blessed One asked Nye sde, "Is it true that you did such a thing?" The monk replied, "I did not do such a thing, but I rejoiced in it." The Blessed One said, "Nye sde has not fallen, but from now on, rejoicing in such actions will also be an offense." If a renunciate, with the intention to kill a man, woman, or hermaphrodite, mixes poison in food, or mixes poison powder in bathwater, drinks, or incense, thinking, "This will make him die," if he dies at that moment or later, it is a defeat (Pasupata). If he does not die, it is a sanghadisesa. If a renunciate gives alcohol or intoxicating medicine, thinking to make him die, if he dies at that moment or later, it is a defeat. If he does not die, it is a sang

It is Sanghavasesa. "Sending to the place of death" means that a Bhikshu pushes a person off a cliff with the intention to kill, or throws them into a fire, or sends them to a place of death, or sends them to a place where tigers, leopards, and other ferocious beasts roam, or sends them to a place where snakes, scorpions, and other poisonous insects are. Or, wanting to kill the other person, in cold weather, he places them in the shade and exposes them to the cold wind; in warm weather, he places them in the sun and puts them in a hot place, thinking that he will die by this method. If he dies at that time, or dies later, it is Parajika. If others kill people by various methods, the discipline will be damaged. "Others by various methods" means that with the intention of killing others, they kill by means, or kill by tying them to a tree. In this regard, if a Bhikshu drives them with the intention to kill, and they are eaten by tigers, leopards, or wolves, or die by any means, it is Parajika. If a Bhikshu binds a person to a green tree with the intention to kill, and they are eaten by tigers, leopards, or wolves, or die by any means, it is Parajika. If a Bhikshu intends to kill a pregnant woman and massages her waist, if she does not die, it is Sanghavasesa. If the fetus dies and the mother does not die, it is Sanghavasesa. If both do not die, it is Sanghavasesa. Wanting to kill the fetus, massaging her waist, if the fetus dies and the mother does not die, it is Parajika. If the fetus does not die and the mother dies, it is also Sanghavasesa. If both do not die, it is also Sanghavasesa. Similarly, if a Bhikshu places a sword or water knife that pierces the heart with the intention to kill, places a torma, places a poisoned arrow, places a sharp stake, etc., if they die, it is Parajika. If they do not die, it is Sanghavasesa. The above is a distinction between Parajika and Sanghavasesa. Possessing seven conditions constitutes the Parajika of killing. What are the seven conditions? It is a human lineage. It is a human. It is not other. It is considered a human. Action is taken. Life is cut off. One is not insane. Beings of animals and hell, ghosts or even gods, if killed, due to falling into evil realms, one will obtain the Sanghavasesa sin. A disciplined person thinks of killing, from the actions of body and speech, even if beings are still alive, there will be three kinds of offenses. This is to show the place of Sanghavasesa sin. Animals refer to horses, cattle, sheep, etc., Bhikshu
