Having done that. After doing so, one should contemplate one's own continuum, and wanting to separately examine whether one has committed any faults, one should therefore examine one's own continuum. Then, later, in front of a holder of vows, one should separately confess the faults that have been committed. The so-called separate confession means that one should first announce, and then one should not confess by saying "what I have said" as is usually said, but one should state the faults separately with mantras. Otherwise, if one does not confess, it will become merely an announcement. Confessing sins and blessing the Uposatha, as well as the nuns performing karma in front of the monks, should all be understood. Now, "no place to stay for more than five days" is to show the self-nature of the place previously mentioned. Therefore, it mentions "having discipline and being skilled in the Vinaya" and so on. Discipline does not refer to evil discipline, but refers to the characteristic of वापस(藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)returning from actions such as killing, which is what is said in the Vinaya. And practicing virtue, having an upright nature, being a friend, wanting to benefit, practicing benefit, and so on, worldly people think that this is having good qualities. Being in accordance with this and fully possessing it is called having discipline. Because only in this way can one gather beings, otherwise one cannot, because this is the nature of Therefore, the teacher Yönten Öd said that a person with discipline should be combined with much learning. Being skilled in the Vinaya means being skilled because one knows the difference between offenses and non-offenses. Being compassionate to the sick and the residents by giving medicine and care, etc., is compassion to the sick. The so-called retinue refers to disciples and attendants. If they are completely pure in discipline, view, conduct, and livelihood, then the retinue of this place is pure. Dharma and material benefits, that is the best.

Therefore, possessions are alms bowls and Dharma robes, etc. Therefore, benefiting with the two, that is, diligently benefiting them with true generosity, it is said that benefiting each other with Dharma and possessions is excellent. The so-called "showing guidance in time" means at what time should one be tamed, and at the time of showing guidance, it is showing guidance to them in time, so it is said like this. For example, those who should be tamed, such as close attendants, should be shown guidance in time, that is, in a quiet place, otherwise, those who are faultless will turn away, and because they are close to them, they will become guides, because they have become shameless. The word "that" means "like this", that is, the lama who has the merits just mentioned is praised for gathering sentient beings. Because of what is like this, one should take a position in such an aspect. 'And' means order and the meaning of gathering. Those who take positions in this way, that is, prostrate themselves with both feet, and after prostrating, hold both hands and the soles of both feet, and say: 'Venerable, please be mindful, I, the novice monk named so-and-so, ask to rely on the Venerable, the Venerable grant me reliance, I will be a servant in the Venerable's place', when saying this, it should be said that reliance is a means, and one should say well done. Now, 'Faithful to the teacher, the precepts are pure', etc., are to show the characteristics of reliance. Faith in the teacher is faith in the teacher. This means that serving the teacher with listening and respect is to show. The so-called pure precepts means that one intends to have completely pure precepts, which is the same as saying that one wants to learn. 'Meditation and diligence in reading' means constantly diligently practicing meditation and reading the true Dharma, which is the same as saying do not be harmed by laziness. Saying reading is to show mindfulness and so on. 'And' means the meaning of gathering. 'Intelligent, gentle, and virtuous', the intelligent one means that there is no laziness in dwelling.
