It is said that it should be eaten by the noble ones. It means that because one has obtained the order, it is the descent of the order, just as the anointing descends, the noble one, that is, the renunciant, can eat it, but it is not permissible to take it from what has been accumulated nearby as one wishes. If asked, are these also forbidden to the sick? The answer is that there is no prohibition for the sick. It is said that there is no prohibition for the sick renunciants, meaning that they are not forbidden. It is said here that the sick can take food that is suitable for them to eat. Regarding "From the remains of the food, leave one portion of alcohol," it is said that the remains of what has been eaten are the remains of the food that has been eaten, and that is why the remains are mentioned, because it is not the main thing. Just one portion of alcohol, even if the food is very little, should be left, and this should be understood. This one portion of alcohol should not be designated to a particular being, but it can be offered to animals without distinction. If asked, what is the reason for the prohibition here? The answer is that the reason for the prohibition here is the crow. It is said that the reason for prohibiting what is left after offering is the crow, and the prohibition is not to become the same fault as it. In this way, in the Vinaya, a renunciant, a person living in a secluded place, can give a portion of alcohol for animals to jackals, but it is forbidden to give it to crows, because the crow will get angry and then say to the leader of the thieves, "Leader, this monk has a lot of copper coins," the leader of the thieves

It is for the sake of collecting toothpicks. Here it says that after doing the work of eating, the place where the toothpick is discarded should be washed with pure water, so it will be taught. And it is for collecting, after eating, one should recite the verses of the Vinaya. That is, when water is taken from wells, etc., because it is accomplished by making wells, etc., and for the water deity, it is not taught here. From the chapter on novice vows, returning from untimely food is the ninth precept. Now, if one takes the form of gold and silver, etc., it is to explain the tenth precept in detail, gold and silver are gold and silver. Those forms are the forms of gold and silver, from the reason for taking it, a novice will commit a transgression, this is the summary. Because there is a possibility of committing a transgression here, it is committing a transgression. With the word "form," all jewels are forbidden, because they themselves are the kind of jewels. Touching them is not forbidden, but taking from the patron is forbidden, so novices touching them is not a fault. From where does it say? From what was asked by the venerable Upāli, the Blessed One said that taking gold and silver is the tenth precept of a novice, and the Blessed One said that novices should return it, what is that like? The Blessed One said, Upāli, I spoke considering taking, not returning. Therefore, taking is forbidden. The exception here is: for the sake of clothes and provisions, for the body or for medicine, there is no fault for the Dharma. Saying this, because it is beneficial for clothes, it is for clothes, for provisions on the road, for the body it is for its food, or for medicine, it is for medicine, the giving and wealth of the Dharma is in accordance with the Dharma, because it is in accordance with the Dharma, if one takes it, there is no fault, this should be applied to all situations. Being in accordance with the Dharma is acting equally with the Three Jewels and Brahma.
