Desiring and thinking towards (a direction). Just as being drunk is very bad, in order to show that this is also the same. The tone of "this is like this" is the tone of "also," so this shows that it not only belongs to the side of being drunk, but also belongs to the side of untimely food. Thus, this word "also" should be placed nearby, because it is very bad like being drunk. This is the analysis from the Vinaya-vibhaṅga. Thus, the Blessed One allows this for the sick, but for others, it becomes a fault, because it is the cause of arrogance, just like being drunk. Those teachings of the wise, such as "for the sick," etc., are to illustrate this point. Allowing the consumption of garlic and other things is what the Blessed One has prescribed. The teachings of the wise refer to the teachings of doctors. Where? It is said, "Non-belief is not manifest," that is, non-manifest for non-believers. It is not on the visible side, because then it may be blamed. So, how should it be done for the purpose of enjoying it? It is said, "Build a house outside the monastery," etc. That is, entering a house built outside the monastery. Why? Because it is said, "For the sake of benefit." What kind of house is special? It is said, "Secluded," that is, a house that has a shelter and space is secluded, meaning entering such a house. At that time, even when benefiting others, the beds of the Sangha were never allowed by the Blessed One to be used by the sick, because it should be understood that it would be defiled by bad smells. When can one enter the monastery? It is said, "After being free from the bad smell." That is, when the body of a monk is free from the bad smell, after seven days, when the bad smell has also left the body, then one can enter and fully enter the monastery. Why? Because it is said, "One's own and others' dwelling place." The tone of "ni" is for certainty. Bhikshu

From the chapter on Pratimoksha vows, abstaining from intoxicants is the fifth precept. Now, the sixth precept will be explained by verses such as, "Dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments, neither the one with vows nor others should do." Dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments, the one with vows should not do themselves, nor should they have others do them. That which moves the body intensely with a slightly wild mind is dancing. That which utters sounds with that same mind is singing. Musical instruments, whatever they may be, such as earthenware drums and large drums, even with fingers, either in order or out of order, striking and moving intensely. Striking one's own thighs and so forth is also the same. This precept is primarily based on intention, so if done after careful consideration, then because of prior consideration, there will be fault. If asked, why is this not to be done? The answer is: these are the causes that lead to attachment to samsara. Attachment to samsara is attachment to samsara, meaning complete infatuation. Doing dances and so on, this is the cause, the cause of action. Because one greatly enjoys dances and so on, one will not become weary, therefore, particularly enjoying is the cause of samsara. If one does such a thing, what will happen? The answer is: if one does, one will incur a minor offense. Whatever it may be, if one does, one will incur a minor offense. Because there is a minor offense here, one will incur a minor offense and lose the Bhikshu vow. However, if it is also a cause of attachment to samsara, even so, one should not do it. How should one act for the purpose of offering to the Bhagavan? Therefore, should one not also urge others? The answer is: let alone other things. For the purpose and need of offering to the Bhagavan, that is, for the sake of offering, one should not urge others for the reason of offering to that object. How should one not urge? It means that striking and singing are not allowed, that is how it is.

The meaning is that one should not utter actual words in this way, which is what will be shown. Similarly, one should not say that in dance either. So, how should one urge for the purpose of making offerings to the Bhagavan? Mentioning gods and non-gods, etc., gods and non-gods are the lords of gods and non-gods, the Buddha who possesses the dust of the ropes of their offerings is the one with the foot dust offered by the lords of gods and non-gods, make your own offerings to him, that is the remainder of the words. However, it means if also like that. The special feature of the song is: there is no fault in chanting the dharmas. etc. There is no fault in the song of giving that listens to the Dharma. The tone of "ni" is to distinguish from the former, and the meaning of another order. Praising the qualities of the teacher is also the same. Just as there is no fault in the former, so too is praising the qualities of the teacher, the Bhagavan, the conclusion is that there is no fault in closely offering to the teacher. If someone is not skilled in melody, what should be done? For the sake of the sacred Dharma, not skilled in melody. etc. Not skilled in melody means that a monk who is not skilled in melody should go into seclusion and study. For what reason? It is said to be for the sake of the sacred Dharma. The tone of "ni" here is also to distinguish from the former, that is, if one is not skilled in melody. And "ཉིད" is to distinguish other meanings. The statement "go into seclusion" is to completely abandon carelessness. The meaning of "should study" is that this is not the basis for learning, but if one studies for the sake of closely offering by praising the sacred Dharma, there is no fault, such words should be understood as excellent. Here, performing dances etc. oneself, or having others perform them, will become a complete transgression, but if it is done for the reason of offering, then one will be blamed. Now, the changes of mind caused by dance etc. will be explained, such as belonging to dance etc. Whatever is a water drum etc., that is a water drum etc.
