It is what causes the body to grow. Only those bless and control, and blessing and controlling itself is blessing with mantras and taking possession. One should bless in this way: starting from "Listen, Sangha," up to "If a person named so-and-so has passed away in this place, if the time of the Sangha has come, please forgive and allow the Sangha, the Sangha should distribute the belongings of the deceased so-and-so who held vows, namely the robes and the containers for the robes, visible and invisible, we will bless them." In some monasteries, if a monastic has died, and his belongings have been placed there or elsewhere, or have been given to someone else, and that person has gone to another monastery, what should be done? It is mentioned that "also the robes placed in other places," just as the items placed in other places were blessed above, so too for the robes placed in other places, those robes should be blessed, this is the remainder of the sentence. If one should bless from the boundary of one monastery to another, through the items placed there, how should it be done? It is mentioned that "one should bless as if they were real," even if it is hidden, one should bless by the power of being like the real thing, and if one blesses, it is considered blessed, this will show this meaning. Thus, the author of the Sutra said that here, the place of death itself is the cause, and the meaning of this is that being like the real thing is like the real thing of the deceased's items, wherever it has gone, those who are there should, in front of what is like the real thing, bless the items that are in another place, or only those items that are within whatever boundary, should be blessed and possessed by those who are there. It is not done by those who belong to that monastic. Because here the place of death itself is the cause, that is why it is distributed. The place where it is placed is also the cause. If one asks what is the "like the real thing" that is shown by "like the real thing," it is mentioned that "to whom the items have been placed," etc., that is, of the deceased.

The substance is his substance. The so-called "being left behind" refers to the substance of someone who has died being left behind, which is called "similar to the real thing." Taking as a premise someone who possesses what is called "similar to the real thing," the word "of" here means "for what purpose," that is, for what reason, because it is the basis of the substance and is the forgetting of death, therefore it is called "similar to the real thing." In this way, one should bless the thing that is similar to the real thing. Starting from "Venerable Sangha, please listen," up to "Here, a certain Bhikshu or Shramanera has passed away. If the Sangha can tolerate waiting, please let the Sangha allow it. The Sangha should bless the things of the deceased Bhikshu or Shramanera that are similar to the real thing, that is, the belongings of the deceased Bhikshu or Shramanera, whether it is a Dharma robe or a container for Dharma robes, any item that appears or does not appear." Some people, when handing over a begging bowl and so on, because the time of delivery has been agreed upon, what is said is for the sake of caution. Handing over containers and so on from hand to hand means that he asks, "Have you taken this container and so on?" The recipient knows, "I have put it down," and then hands over the container and so on. When is it? It is when boarding a boat or anything else that is headed by a boat. The word "so said" here means "so said" and another order, and should be regarded as before. If the deliverer says "so said," and the recipient also agrees, and then the container and so on is damaged because it falls into the water or something else, then at this time the recipient should be made to compensate for the value of the container and so on. How to compensate? Without a doubt, because he said it and agreed, it is not wrong to hold the compensator responsible, this only explains this point, but it is not to be understood as the basis of learning. If one promises to take another's property but does not take it, one should also compensate, that is what it means.
