Wasn't the empowerment given for the sake of the three kinds of enlightenment? If so, why mention 'the glory of complete enlightenment' and so on? There is no fault in that. Because, by showing it as the main cause, it will also be explained as the cause of other enlightenments. If that is the case, why did the Bhagavan show that kind of reversal? It is mentioned as 'from the battlefield of the enemy of afflictions' and so on. Afflictions are desire and so on. The enemy is the foe, that is the enemy of afflictions. The battlefield is the battle, from which one becomes victorious. Therefore, the Bhagavan showed that one becomes victorious from the battlefield of the enemy of afflictions, which is the remaining word. Because if one abides in discipline, one gradually reduces afflictions, therefore one becomes victorious from the battlefield of the enemy of afflictions. This shows the necessity of discipline. Now, intending to explain the ethics of renunciation, first generally, 'If the thought is the main thing, the meaning changes accordingly,' and so on, it is shown. The basis of learning is twofold: that which is mainly thought and that which is mainly object. Among them, that which is mainly object is mainly object. The word 'object' refers only to the existence of effort and so on, for example, impure conduct. Because apart from thought, that is merely the general practice of the object itself. The other, which of the bases of learning is mainly thought, that is mainly thought, which is killing and so on. What will happen if one transgresses those bases of learning? It is said 'the meaning changes accordingly' and so on, because the thought is as it is, the object also exists as it is. The meaning changes accordingly, its object is the very thing that has changed accordingly. Therefore, if the thought is as it is, the fault will be complete. The word 'fault' refers to misdeeds, for example, regarding water with living beings, if one thinks it is with living beings, therefore if one kills the living beings, one will commit a great sin. As it is

Na min chung war gyur. This means a minor offense, which is a small transgression and a decline. When is this the case? It is said that what is not as it is, is not as it is, because the perception changes to something else. Its essence is precisely what is not as it is. What is not as it is becomes small in this case. For example, if there are no living beings, but one perceives them as having living beings, and therefore enjoys them, etc., it is like committing a minor offense. Therefore, it shows that one will definitely commit an offense. Now, doubt and perception are considered the same. It is said that doubt shows the offense, doubt is uncertainty. Because it is perception, it is perception, and being considered the same as it is established as an offense. In this case, it is certain that there are living beings, and therefore enjoying them, etc., causes an offense, and the same applies to doubt. In this way, if one is certain about water without living beings, it becomes a minor offense, and the same applies to doubt, which is the concluding remark. Now, we will explain the general mental offenses that belong to all aspects of the training. Taking means taking correctly. What are those? They are the ten trainings, such as killing. Because those were taken at the time of ordination. Belonging to those aspects is similar to them, such as unripe pimples, etc. The nature of the offenses arising from that nature, which is the nature of the past, belongs to what has been taken. Whatever is in accordance with a certain aspect will be shown as that. Therefore, those are mental offenses, so they are mental offenses, and whatever is abandoned only by the mind is the meaning of that offense. From here onwards, the trainings are explained, and there are three types of offenses: ultimate offenses, minor offenses, and mental offenses. An ultimate offense is one that causes a fully ordained person to fall in every way and has no chance of recovery. A minor offense can be purified by confession.

Intention transformation is the teaching. The ultimate transformation is explained by "others" and so on. As for "who," since it is the case of a novice monk, it is related to that. Therefore, like this, if a novice monk strikes another person and causes death, he will lose (the precepts). Losing means falling away, meaning that he will incur a root offense. Saying "person" is to distinguish it from animals and so on. Saying "other" is to distinguish it from oneself. If it is in any way? It is said to be "perception," that is, perceiving a person as a person, that is all, not other meaning. Here it is said, when a person exists in the form of an animal, if he kills with the perception of an animal, he will commit a minor offense, because he does not perceive it as a person. Similarly, if an animal exists in the form of a person, if he kills with the perception of a person, he will only commit a minor offense, because he is not actually a person. Therefore, the teacher Gunaprabha, seeing that meaning, said, "If one kills relying on the form of another continuum." Here, because it has become other, it is not one's own continuum, not one's own continuum, this will follow, therefore, another continuum on one cause is another continuum, and its form is form. Showing that is experience, that is, it is not one's own continuum. What will happen then? It is only one's own continuum, meaning that it is the continuum of whichever continuum it is. Where is it? It is said to be "killing," that is, in killing. Therefore, if a person exists in the form of another, if he kills with that perception or with another perception, he will commit a root offense, while if an animal exists in the form of a person, if he kills with that perception or with another perception, he will commit a minor offense. If that is the case, then how is it said that perception is the main thing? It is said that the fault of the action is determined by perception.
