It becomes a fault, just like transporting goods. For example, if a gold bracelet worn on the wrist is pulled up to the arm, it becomes a fault. If it is not like that, it should be understood as stealing as mentioned before. Now, stealing Shogam will be explained through "Shogam" etc., and the phrase "becomes stealing" is a subsequent content. Here, "land" is meant to be the land of Shogam. Because it is that time, in any place, as long as it reaches the land where Shogam needs to be measured, that is the land of Shogam, therefore it comes from there, not from the sky. Exceeding means crossing over, and if one crosses over that, it becomes stealing Shogam. What is exceeded? It is what is said as "from the place," and the place means Shogam. The "itself" of "the land itself" is to distinguish that there is no fault in crossing other lands, so it is distinguished. And the power of mantras etc. residing on the land, and what is drawn from the sky, is actually not drawn from the land itself. Because whatever is drawn by the power of supernatural abilities, mantras, and medicines, without any connection to Shogam, is also to be distinguished. What is called Shogam is what should be given to the Shogam person, and if the items suitable for Shogam are damaged, it becomes the fault of "crossing Shogam." What kind of items are suitable for Shogam in particular? It is the commodity recognized by the world, not items such as clothes that can be enjoyed, nor items bet with others, nor gold. Because when explaining the determination, the Shogam person who takes Shogam by force is himself a thief, so there is no fault for those who flee from Shogam. Helping a thief by showing them the way etc. becomes a transgression, this is what is to be explained. A thief is someone who robs items. Helping means helping together. Who does this? It is a disciplined person, i.e., a monk. In what way? It is through roads etc.

Speaking of actions, the initial dwelling is where there are many women and few men, with no dense forests or unruly people nearby, and so on. Whatever falls under these circumstances are the paths, etc. Showing these by approaching them is showing the paths, etc., meaning to accomplish steadfast companionship. A share is each person's allotted portion and part, and wanting it is craving. Therefore, wanting a share causes the novice's discipline to decline, meaning the discipline will decline. Does it decline merely by showing nearness? It is said, 'If a share is obtained,' meaning if a share is obtained, it will decline; this is the concluding word. The Blessed One said that when monks punish relatives or others with punishment, there will be faults. When does this happen? It is said, 'With unlawful punishment,' etc., meaning that 'lawful' refers to what is in accordance with the offense, understood from what is stated in the scriptures. Saying it differently is unlawful punishment. If punishment is received with unlawful punishment, it will be like value and thought. Even though the Blessed One said, 'Monks, farming is a great offense,' and forbade farming, merely farming does not lead to downfall, but because many beings die, there is offense as forbidden. Therefore, the Blessed One said, 'This is a great offense.' Even so, if doing something leads to downfall, it is like 'It is good for me,' etc., which is now being shown. Another's field refers to the field of others. If a novice draws water or cuts in another's field, that is drawing water and cutting, which becomes the root. 'Here' refers to drawing water, etc. Drawing water means that when there is a lot of water, one abandons one's own field and draws water to another's field. Cutting is

When the water flow decreases, it prevents the work of others. Because it is only cutting off, and there is no benefit to myself, it is cutting off first, and then diverting water. Here it refers to cutting off. With what thought? It is said, "May it be good for me," etc. It means that if one does it with the thought, "May my grain be abundant, may others suffer," it will become a root offense. Does merely doing that become a root offense? No, my grain is obtained, which means when my grain is obtained, it refers to when my grain is obtained. If at that time my grain is obtained, and the grain of others is damaged, that is stealing. Like this, with the thought, "May my grain be abundant, may the grain of others suffer," when the water flow increases, one cuts off from one's own field and then diverts it to the field of others. If one says, "May my harvest be good," and the field of others is damaged, then things will truly become a fault. Where it is obtained because of the difference in field cultivation, that is not stealing. Where it is obtained because of diverting water, etc., that is stealing from others here. One's own The difference in the final result of labor, and the advantages of the field are not. For example, my field and the field of others, with the same amount of water, in all places, suppose they are both two khals (unit of measurement). Because of the difference in the cultivation of one's own field, and diverting water, etc., the labor of others produces one khal, and one's own labor produces three khals, then, if irrigated with the same amount of water, others have two and a half khals, and I have three and a half khals, the same amount of water is two and a half khals, and the extra one khal is because of the difference in field cultivation. Therefore, the half khal lost by others is included here, that is stealing, but the one khal that arises because of the cultivation of the field is not. Precisely because of this, my grain is obtained, and the grain of others is damaged, which means that because the grain of others is damaged, my grain is obtained.
