It should be covered. Lower body. This word, which is named "appearance," is like a burn and the pores of the limbs. In any case, the two round things, the burn and the pores of the limbs, should be wrapped in cloth, like a package that is not visible, and should be covered like that, that is its meaning. Others say that it means nakedness, and in any case, it should be like nakedness that does not appear. They explain it this way. The Acharya said that according to both explanations, the ends of the lower skirt should be gathered together. He said that this is where its meaning lies. Likewise, one should not squat. There is no need to say more, one should act as stated in the Vinaya Sutra, these are just examples. In the commentary on the novice vows, it says that the eleventh chapter, which is in accordance with abandoning the signs of a householder, is completed. Guarding vows, the sign is stated by promise, There, realizing the conforming aspect of degeneration, should be abandoned. For example, the signs of heretics are holding, Naked, plucking hair, taking food with hands, etc. Because it says in the sutra that one should truly take the signs of renunciation from the mantra of renunciation, therefore, the conforming aspects of degeneration from renunciation should be abandoned. For example, the signs of heretics, holding bones, etc., as well as nakedness itself, plucking hair, and taking food with hands, etc. Furthermore, Jumping on mountains, looking at the sun, and, Serving the five fires, etc., should be abandoned. Jumping off cliffs and looking at the sun and serving the five fires, etc., all of these should be abandoned. Spitting, etc., after snapping fingers, then discard it in the permitted place. When discarding spit, etc., snap your fingers and then discard it in the permitted place. One should not stay for a long time near the place of excretion or urination, speaking various kinds of talk, etc. One should not do activities such as combing hair there. When entering the toilet, one should first make a sound and enter after observing.

One should enter there. The places for defecation and urination should also be separate and distinct, and should not be confused. Urine, feces, and wind, if they occur, should be released slowly. The place for defecation should be separate, and the place for urination should also be separate. One should not speak when entering there. When feces and so on occur, whether it is excretion, urination, or the passing of wind, it should be done slowly. One should never try to suppress the urge to excrete. One should not suppress the occurrence of urination and so on. Next, the order of cleansing will be explained: first, the wound should be wiped with something soft, and then washed with water and earth. The left hand should take earth seven times, and then both hands should also take it seven times. These portions of earth should also be placed separately in order. Likewise, after washing both hands with plenty of water, the ascetic should carefully wipe the elbows and genitals, and after wiping, both hands should be washed again. Then, the testicles. Then, the two feet should be washed, and this is the order. It is said that cleanliness is simply when the mind becomes pure, which is simply the removal of dirt and defilement. This is what is meant by cleanliness in worldly terms. The Blessed One spoke of inner cleanliness as the abandonment of sins of body and so on. The ascetic should defecate, urinate, and clean his teeth in a secluded place. Furthermore, the Blessed One spoke of the ultimate inner cleanliness, which is the abandonment of sins in all ways by body, speech, and mind.

It should be known that this is not to be done. The excrement and urine of the disciplined, and the disposal of tooth wood, should be done in secluded places. The tooth wood should be washed with water and then discarded, even if there is no water. If death occurs due to tongue coating, that is not allowed; it should be carefully wiped on the ground. After eating the tooth wood, it should be washed with water and discarded. However, if there is no water, then it should be wiped clean at all times and then discarded. Why? Because it is said that if death occurs due to tongue coating, that is not allowed. Here, in the minor matters of the Vinaya, it is said that a monk ate tooth wood, scraped his tongue, and did not wash it, resulting in bees and flies covering it, and he died. Because of the corpse of the bee, the Harolika insect came and caught the bee. The Jintika insect caught the Harolika insect, and then it also died. The cat caught the Jintika insect, and then it also died, and all the creatures died one after another. The Blessed One then taught: Monks, there are such wicked people, therefore the tooth wood should be washed with water. If there is no water, wipe it clean and discard it, so the text says. There are two types of bowls, namely those made of earth and those made of iron. The bowl should not be of other materials, nor small, large, or gray. One should carry a bowl that makes a clanging sound, because it makes people aware and can drive away dogs. Bowls made of earth and iron are allowed, but bowls made of copper or other materials are not allowed. Small bowls are not allowed, nor are gray bowls, nor are large bowls, etc. One should carry a bowl that makes a clanging sound, because this clanging sound makes people aware and can drive away dogs when begging for alms, etc., therefore it should be carried. In the commentary on the novice monk's precepts, the twelfth part, which corresponds to the aspects of decline in monastic life, is completed. Pray to the Lama, the Lama is in accordance with the aspects of decline. Because not respecting one's own Lama is like that. Like desiring oneself, be extremely distressed, and respectfully serve the Lama. The mantra for requesting a Khenpo is: Venerable one, please be my Khenpo. Whatever is requested should be done beforehand...
