Those who are visibly expelled by others do not have authority over the expelled items. The names are taken differently, that is, the names of monks and novices are different, and nuns and others do not have authority. Similarly, nuns and others do not have authority over monks and novices. It is not always established in this way, so it is said that if there are similarities, it means that if there are similar names. If not, then only possession is possible. Here, the scripture is based on the Vinaya-vastu, which says: Where there are no monks, nuns should take it, and there should be no regrets about this, etc. Similarly, if even the property of those who have been expelled is not owned, what need is there to mention the property of those who are immoral? When is it not owned? It is said that "those who are visibly expelled by others," meaning in front of those who have not been expelled. If there are none of these, then there is no denial of ownership. If one dies between the two boundaries of a monastery, the clothes and other items related to the body belong to whoever's head is placed. If it is placed in two places, then it belongs to both. If a monk dies between the two boundaries of a monastery, who owns the clothes and other items related to his body at that time? Whichever boundary the head is placed on belongs to that person. However, if the head is placed so that it touches both boundaries, then both own it. Here, the scripture is based on the Vinaya-vastu, which says: Venerable, if a monk dies between the boundaries, who owns his bowl and Dharma robes? The attendant where the head is placed. Venerable, if the head is placed in two places, who owns it? Both attendants own it. Why is it necessary to mention the body connection? In order to clearly show the object of the special distinctions that will appear below. The clothes of the deceased in the house, the householder gives with faith to whom. The belongings of the deceased in the house, whoever the householder gives with faith, belongs to that person. In which boundary are the clothes of the deceased, those who bless them own them. Within the monastery boundaries of which monks

If I have belongings when I die, then only clothes etc. can be blessed, but not others. In other places, even if there are clothes, they are blessed like objects. Even if the deceased's belongings are in another place, one should bless that which is similar to the object and close to it. Here, the scripture is based on the basis of clothing. Are monks and bhikshus also in other places? Are the begging bowl and Dharma robes also in other places? If something similar to an object is also in another place, then who is in charge of his begging bowl and Dharma robes? Where does the close attendant, whether a bhikshu or a householder, reside? This is what is said. If asked what is similar to an object, it is said: The person in whom his objects are contained is called similar to the object. The deceased's objects, the monk or householder in whom they were previously contained, is called similar to his objects, because he is the one who holds his objects, so he is similar to his giving, this is the summary. Like this, if someone similar to an object resides within the boundary, then one should also understand that the object is also included within the boundary, this is the intention. When boarding a boat, should the begging bowl etc. be taken or abandoned? Make it understood and then give. Having said that, if it is discarded, then at that time the value must be measured without doubt. When boarding a boat etc., make the companion understand and then abandon the begging bowl etc. What should be made understood is to ask: Did you take it or abandon it? Having said that, if it falls from there and his begging bowl etc. falls into the river etc. and is wasted, then at that time one must reduce the price for the taker, because there is no doubt of taking without giving. That arises from trivial matters. Through this alone, one understands the reason why even if one promises to take the property but does not take it, one must reduce the price etc. From inferior diseases, clothes etc., do not take, because that is not the giver. If poor, the patient can take from my inferior diseases. That is also because he wants to give again. From non-principal people, do not take clothes etc., because those are not the givers. If poor, the patient can also take from my inferior diseases. That is also because he wants to give again.
