It is contradictory! If one does not think that way, then the Blessed One taking without giving, therefore abandoning the prohibition, it would be unreasonable to prohibit thieves from being poor. Therefore, it should be understood that taking possession from giving with the mind is reversed. If it is not given with the mind, then others may take possession, but one's own possession will not disappear. Thus, in the Vinaya Sutra, it is said: "Not giving with the mind after being robbed is indeed not separated from the owner." In the Root Division Explanation, it is also said: "Immediately after being robbed, that thing does not become the thief's, it is only the owner's." However, it contradicts the statement that it should be taken back by teaching the Dharma. What is the relationship between taking one's own property and teaching the Dharma? This is what the Blessed One said with great compassion, so there is no contradiction. The meaning of the scripture is that if one can take it back without harming the body, then take it back. If not, take it back by teaching the Dharma, or take it back with value. Do not let the thieves be poor around the royal palace, because that would harm them. It is allowed to say, like this, even half the price is fine. So, it must be like that. If it is not like that, then how would it not fall by half the price? In the scripture called "If," it is said: "Do not proclaim those, it belongs to the robber." What is said is also this meaning, because one is attached to 'this is mine,' so it is his, not a thief, nor someone else's. If one cuts off his hope with power, then thinking that the ascetic who abandons the staff and lives in a quiet place and border area will have a life-threatening danger, the Blessed One stopped it. Because it enters with one's own perception, so it is not someone else's. If one thinks it is someone else's, then it will cause faults, etc. Others take possession of disciples by force, that is not mine. Others take possession by gathering disciples or giving, etc., that is not one's own. If one robs again, it will eventually change. Here the scripture is Vinaya.

In terms of conduct. A bhikkhu's disciples were taken away by thieves, and he let the thieves escape and then caught them again, and that person felt remorse. The Blessed One taught: If those disciples are controlled and enticed, if the property is complete, they will be judged as defeated. Then, if any bhikkhuni ordains someone without the permission of the family, she will commit a sin of downfall, how is this? This is a way of robbing ordinary beings, because ordaining someone without permission, doing it yourself, so it is reasonable to change in the end, is it? Because there is no intention to steal, so this is not robbery, so there is no fault. It is absolutely impossible to steal oneself. Here, the scripture comes from the 'Vinaya Matters': Thieves stole the bhikkhu, he escaped from those people and came back again, the Blessed One taught: Bhikkhus do not steal themselves, so there is no downfall, the scripture ends here. For the property of animals, the owners are humans and animals. For the food given as alms, the owner is the animal. This is like the owner of the birds giving decorations to the birds. Therefore, here the bird is also the owner, although both humans and birds are owners, the downfall should be distinguished according to the difference in perception. The scripture here is: If you think that this is stealing from people, not stealing from birds, then you should evaluate the value of people. If the property is complete, it will be judged as defeated. If the property is not complete, it will be a gross offense, and so on. If the person is not the owner, then it is unreasonable to be judged as defeated there, so it should be recognized that the person is also the owner here. For the food given as alms, the owner is the animal. This is because for the sake of enjoyment, giving drinks etc. to animals, the giver does not think that this is mine. Therefore, it should be understood that for drinks etc., the animal is the owner. For this very reason, on the quiet road, giving a share of drinks to animals, the downfall was not distinguished according to the difference in perception. To obtain, stirring fire etc.
