other than that. If mixed with seven-day medicine, one should diligently guard the vows except for the time limit. It is not allowed to take without being given. If the seven-day medicine is mixed with the purpose of sustaining life, then the seven-day medicine should be consumed, and it should not be taken without being given. End of the Fourth Chapter. If a monk blesses molasses for his own consumption, and they are mutually inclined, then these five situations are allowed: the sick, beer, the attendant, the servant, and the traveler. Other than these five situations, other situations are not allowed. If mixed with a small amount of impurities, making it palatable with molasses and fruits, filtering it and drinking it, it is allowed even at inappropriate times. If rare fruits, flowers, etc. are obtained, any pleasing food, even if it should be discarded after obtaining it, it is allowed to eat if desired. When alms are properly obtained, in the place of consumption of alms, eating while staying in other people's homes is to increase the merit of the donor. If one wants to eat again, after returning from the place of consumption, in times of famine, it is allowed with the thought of having taken it before. If the remaining food eaten at home, if the donor treats it with respect, with the thought of having taken it before, it is also allowed in times of distress. In all monasteries, food offerings should be given at all times. Whenever eating, food should be given to the yakshas. For women with children, the Sugata spoke of food offerings to protect the monastery and to prosper the Dharma. Unless there are special circumstances such as illness, gathering and eating is a transgression. For the Sangha, no matter what is given, the receiver does not commit a transgression. Any suddenly appearing food is also allowed to be gathered and eaten. In times of illness, work, and travel, one should first be fully intimate. If one has traveled half a yojana by boat, etc., and returns and eats, the monk does not commit a transgression. If many donors give separately to the monks, the donors have five times to give according to their ability. If a non-Buddhist practitioner requests, and the donor invites, then it should be eaten in order to increase their special faith. Boundary

Gathering in that place, Knowing or, even with doubt, it is a downfall. For these three, there is no fault. Separately, not gathered together, and so on. Each obtained with certainty, and, eating separately in the monastery. In the case where patrons desire, There is no prohibition. Starting from noon, Until the dawn of the next day has not risen. If a monk eats food, Then it is a downfall, like a wheel destroying. Food and so on, a monk, If stored and then eaten, it is a downfall. Consuming in two times, before and after, That is said to be of two kinds. Having taken the giving before consuming, Then consuming in the afternoon is prohibited. Having taken the giving in the afternoon, Then it is not allowed after the time has passed. Robes, keys, crooked, A bowl, even an inferior bowl, Should not be touched with unclean hands, That situation is also except for circumstances. Any diligent practitioner, food and so on, If eating without taking the giving, That is also destroying the training, Except for water and tooth sticks. Anything that is not cooked but looks like it is, If obtained by a mendicant, The solid food should be left one-third. For Dharma, taking the giving is allowed. Touching and then not taking the giving, There is no prohibition in times of distress. Those with leaves and tooth sticks, Those with milk should be completely abandoned. For the monks, the patrons, If food is discarded, By means of an unpleasant sound, Food should be eaten after the time has passed. If it is not swallowed into the throat, Then giving should not be taken, As long as one lives, one should practice, One should not hold it without blessing. Cannot be stored in a container, Honey or bitter gourd, etc., That should be discarded and then consumed, Rats, etc., will surely destroy it.
