I do not commit to accepting. Only for the later food, if you commit to accepting, it is a fault. If the first time there are no clothes, and later there are clothes, why hold two banquets? There is no prohibition on food. If the first time there are clothes, and later there are also clothes, then for both, you can eat as you please, there is no prohibition. If you discard the Dharma robe and become without it, accepting those with clothes, because clothes cannot be found everywhere, the all-knowing compassionate one allows it. If you need to hold a banquet in the village, after informing all the Sangha, the elder monastery manager should strike the bell at the appropriate time, in order to let the monks go to their respective Sanghas, and to see the sudden visitors, they should be urged, otherwise they will commit a serious mistake. If a monk is in the place where other heretics live, and eats the food they cook there, if it exceeds one day, except for the sick, they will commit a downfall. If it is not a patient, staying there for two days is a fault. If you eat food, you will commit a downfall, and it is the same if you eat there from other places. In general, Je Rinpoche said that only for relatives, even if you eat food a hundred times, there is no stain of downfall. In inappropriate circumstances, a monk fills two or three bowls with flour and grain, and if he takes more, he will commit a downfall. Two large bowls, or two small bowls and half of a large bowl, three small bowls, or two medium bowls, as stated, are filled. One medium bowl and one small bowl, one large bowl and one small bowl, taking is not a downfall, but if you take three medium bowls, you will definitely get a fault. After filling the bowl as stated, if the monk takes other things, he will commit a downfall. In other places, if the bowl is already full, there is no fault in taking it. Taking from the home of a helpful relative, there is no fault in taking it, and after taking it, it should be distributed to the monks who live together. What is eaten after giving up food, without informing the monks, and without preparing the extra things well, for these, it will definitely be considered a downfall. After giving up what can be eaten, here, it is never allowed, and after giving up food, it is also the case to make vows here again. All kinds of tsampa, tsampa balls, meat, flour and grains are edible.

Roots, stems, flowers, fruits, and also leaves, are the five kinds of things to be used. Where is it called "miscellaneous things"? It should be known that it is in food. Giving food, the transformation of food, discarded things, and cushions are abandoned things. In these five places, a monk is called an "abandoner." In other places that are not these, there is no abandoned thing. For a while, being satisfied with words, reaching the end of perfection, saying "go like that," there is no fault for becoming an abandoner. Not from the chest, not from the back, not in the bosom, not in the air, and not on top of the mandala, never leave leftovers. After diligently washing the hands, completely take the food. In many seats, the food eaten by the monk should not be left over. Respectfully in front of him, squat and sit down, and say this: "Venerable, please consider, these foods, please eat the leftovers." This is my abundant food and other suitable things, please leave leftovers and then eat, say it respectfully. He also eats two or three mouthfuls, and then says to him: "Go, eat these as you are comfortable." After he has eaten, without getting up from the abandoned things and the seat, sitting in front of the virtuous one, do as the previous ritual. If he has not eaten, also do this to him: "Go, eat as you please." This method is called the ritual of leftovers. For milk, yogurt, etc., drunk by those who diligently keep vows, it is not necessary to determine this method. For barley and other porridge, if there are finger marks on the porridge, seeing that the top is thin and the bottom is thick, licking the thick part with a finger, there is only the existence of abandoned things. Recognizing abandoned things there, whether hearing or doubting, one will walk the path of downfall. In a place where there is no abandonment, because one thinks it has been abandoned, or merely doubts, it will bring sin and suffering. If a monk has completely abandoned and has no leftovers, but the monk gives food because of malicious thoughts, he will commit a downfall. Do not step on the bowl with two feet, and never eat. If one does so comfortably, one will commit a downfall, but there is no fault for the sick.

It is not allowed to enjoy food while wearing shoes. Unless it is a sick Bhikshu. Even then, one should place one's feet on the shoes, and not elsewhere. If the guide is behind or far away, and coughing, and does not know the rituals, the Bhikshu should not accept the offering. It is also not allowed without extending the hand. If the guide is nearby, sitting in front and knows the rituals, with clean hands extended, the Bhikshu should accept it well. For a blessed bowl, whatever food falls into it, one should accept and eat it with a mind free of doubt. Dust, flowers, fruits, food, as well as dirt and clothes are also allowed. Apart from those foods that have been stored, which are allowed and which are not? These investigations are nine in total, the tenth is the dust of dust. If the shape is not clear, then there is no fault for these. Food that has been stored, and food that has not been offered, if they contaminate clothes etc., they should be washed, otherwise it is a fault. After distributing salt and other seasonings, one should not accept at a new time, in the absence of discomfort with the food, it should be shown truthfully at the appropriate time. Whoever eats in front of an elder, whether certain or doubtful, for him, a fault will certainly increase each day. Having determined through investigation to give for the sake of others, that is slightly due to greed, even if the offering is accepted, for him, it is not allowed to use it at that time. The giver does not care, the receiver obtains what is given, that is a pure acceptance of the offering, even if eaten there is no fault. Do not say to the guide, "Give me this instead of that." Food obtained through reasonable means should be eaten, if not, a sick person has no fault. After the one striving for vows has eaten, the remaining, the beer residue can also be placed at will, targeting crows etc., do not distinguish the motivation. Sudden arrival, wanting to leave, as well as the steward and the sick person, and the one caring for the sick, food should be given to them first. By controlling the growth of wheat, drinks can also be given to the Sangha. Therefore, the fields are said to be offered by the embodied essence. Rice, porridge, hot tsampa, as well as fish and meat are allowed, in order to protect life, these are said to be edible medicines. Grapes, Ashvadha, peaches, as well as apples, water
