The one born together (kunjangwa). If one scolds, one incurs a downfall. Thus, lineage, crafts, activities, as well as signs, illnesses, downfalls, and anger, etc., should not be spoken of in words. For the sake of dispelling doubt, who is of the Buddha's lineage? Who has renounced from the royal family? Speaking such things is without fault. If a monk speaks divisive words, then this downfall is truly complete. Divisive speech is for distinguishing others, it is the speech of affliction. For example, you are a lame woodcutter. If one asks who said such a thing? The answer is: The joyful one said it. This is just a slight indication. Here, everything is as before. From speaking of lineage and crafts, etc., one should know that one commits an act of wrongdoing, etc., which the wise should abandon. If the Sangha is of one mind, if there is one who agrees, if he becomes disgusted with the work, then he obtains the exhausting downfall. If of one mind, according to the Dharma and according to the ritual, performing the four kinds of giving, etc., if one becomes disgusted with the work they have done, saying that this is good, if it is completed, even with doubt, if one becomes disgusted, then one is with downfall. Did one do it or not do it? Even with doubt, if one becomes disgusted, then one commits a wrong act, to which the wise say is not one. Regarding what others have done, recognizing that others have done it, or saying that it is not completed when it is completed, the aspect of downfall is as before. The long-dweller, the worker, the one who offers desire, the one who speaks of views, the newcomer, these are known as the five kinds of individuals. Whoever knows the beginning, middle, and end, that one is called the long-dweller. From the work that has been done, whoever does that work, that one is the worker. In that place, whoever offers desire, that one is the one who offers desire. The one who speaks of views, refers to who, in the midst of the Sangha, when asked, says, "I see it thus," and says, "I do not see it thus." Whoever does not know the beginning, middle, and end, that one is thought to be the newcomer. If the first three argue about the work, then one incurs a downfall. Arguing about the excellent work, the last two commit a wrong act. If one teaches the Dharma to women, exceeding five or six sentences, and there is no man of knowledge present, then one commits the fault of a downfall.

It is transformation. All forms are impermanent, similarly, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, the wise should thus understand the five aggregates. Eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are also impermanent, the wise thus declare these six sentences. Saying that five sentences should be declared, if one knowingly speaks six sentences, then one commits a downfall, similarly, the sixth and seventh sentences should also be declared accordingly. Speaking irrelevant words is not a fault, even if one speaks very quickly it does not matter. If the one answering questions is a woman, there is no fault in declaring to one with good lineage. Speaking Dharma together with one who has not received full ordination, then one commits a downfall. Following is not a fault, recitation and memorization are also not. Words with bad dwelling, the Sangha should not speak meaningless words. In addition, there are bad dwellings where a Bhikshu commits Parajika and Sanghavasesa. The Dharma that becomes a true Lama, to a person who has not received full ordination, if a diligent practitioner declares, this also commits a downfall. Here, the five obscurations that are spoken of, people hear as Dharma, and regard it as the Dharma of the Lama, meditation and so on are the Dharma of the Lama. Without permission, giving the Sangha's property to others, if disputes arise after giving, then the diligent practitioner also commits a complete downfall. When holding Posadha every half month, when reciting the Pratimoksha, if someone is contemptuous, then this person is also considered to have committed a complete downfall. Why is it necessary to declare these subtle points in detail here? If someone out of affliction despises the precepts and says such words. For the sake of calculation and contempt, for the sake of burning and complete burning, and for the purpose of preventing wounds, each word here indicates complete downfall. As stated in the minor scriptures and so on, as long as it is related to the Vinaya, if a Bhikshu despises, then this Bhikshu commits a downfall. Whether the Bhikshu himself or others, if they destroy all seeds and the dwelling place of beings, then it is clearly considered to be a downfall. Whatever grows from the root essence is the seed of the root, such as mustard, turnips, wetland grass, onions, etc. The seeds of trees are also like this, no matter where they are planted, they can grow into trees again, such as the Nyagrodha tree and
