If one takes property with the intention of stealing, and not for other reasons, it constitutes a parajika offense if the value is complete, and a sthulatyaya offense if there is no intention to steal. If one takes something thinking of the other person as a benefactor rather than a thief, there is no offense. If one takes property from someone known as a thief, thinking of them as a benefactor, there is no offense. If the stolen property is recognized and the thief's origin can be traced, it can be taken because everyone knows it, and it becomes pure. Do not take property from foolish or cunning thieves who do not bear the mark of a thief. Even if someone is skilled at stealing, like one's own children, and they are not aware of being stolen from, and they enforce the law and are cautious as if fearing minor offenses, taking property from such people, like foolish or cunning thieves, is an offense. If one takes property that has been stolen and the owner recognizes it, even if one can trace the foolish or cunning thief, it cannot be taken because the locals do not treat him as a thief, and therefore he will not become a pure bhikshu. If one takes it, cuts it with a weapon, changes its color, and keeps it. If one takes property from someone known as a thief, cut the property, change its color, and keep it. Even if you do that, if they ask for it, give it. Like the supplement to the Vinaya, if one takes property and changes its color, and the owner recognizes the property and asks for it back, give it. If you don't give it, you commit a parajika offense. Do not deceive. Do not say you don't have it or didn't receive it in order to avoid paying high wages for work like a laborer. If you deceive, you commit a parajika offense. If you send it with a mantra, there is no offense. If someone steals your property and doesn't give it back even if you ask for it by teaching the Dharma, you can change their mind with a mantra and make them give it to you, and there is no offense. If mice steal things, it's okay to take them back. If mice take your property, it's okay to snatch it back. Similarly, it's okay to snatch it back from dogs and birds. It's the same for the benefit of other bhikshus. If mice or dogs take another bhikshu's property, it's okay to snatch it back and return it. Because "oneself" and "bhikshu" are mentioned, it seems that it is an offense for householders and bhikshus. If a hunter shoots an animal and it comes to your place and you take it, it's okay. If someone like a hunter shoots an animal and it comes to us, it is out of compassion and to protect it, and there is no offense even if you don't return it to the owner who shot it.

There is no place. If he dies, give it to them. Like in the Root Text of the Vinaya, those that were not given, if the meat is given back after a long time, we, in order to know that the meat was stolen and not eaten, should let it rot and expose the bones. Taking what is not given is an Unforgivable Defeat in the Pratimoksha. Taking what is not given is an Unforgivable Defeat. This comes from the Root Text of the Vinaya, which is undoubtedly Unforgivable. The Unforgivable Defeat of taking what is not given is complete. The Unforgivable Defeat of taking what is not given is the summary of all the Root Texts that are separately taught and appear in the Pratimoksha. The Unforgivable Defeat of killing. Do not attend to a sick person who wants to die in a way that is consistent with that. A monk who thinks that it is good for a sick person to die should not say, "What's wrong with dying?" If a sick monk says he is hungry, after asking the attendant and the doctor what food should be given, other monks each gave many kinds of food and made him full. The attendant cooked the food as the doctor said and gave it to him. After eating about three mouthfuls, the attendant sat unhappily. Others gave food and made him full, and the attendant angrily said, "I work so hard, but I can't even get that much food. I might as well eat poison and die." The patient ate poison and died, so the rule was made. If he dies after saying that, he commits an Unforgivable Defeat. In this matter, do not let someone who does not understand death, who is near death, become an attendant without being instructed. A monk who thinks that it is good for a sick person to die, thinking that the attendant's nephews are two hunter brothers, thinking that they can kill me, tells the attendant to bring them two, to let them be your helpers, to be my attendants, and give them water. The attendant calls them and tells them to serve as the patient says, and lets them stay. After the attendant monk leaves, the patient tells the hunters that if they kill me, I will happily go to heaven, teaches them the Dharma, and makes them kill him, so the rule was made. Do not let such a foolish person be an attendant. Even if there is no ability to let a wise person be an attendant, warn the foolish person not to let the patient die, etc., and warn them in this way and let them go. If there is no other way. Let a wise person be an attendant, who can understand the meaning of words and know good and bad. A capable person is not guilty even if he is not warned.
