Even killing is permissible. If one kills or cuts off the hind legs of an animal, such as livestock, for the sake of wasting fodder, it constitutes a gross offense. Even if one obtains a large number of scales of wealth, it will not result in a defeat. As for the circumstances that would lead to a defeat, they are not mentioned here and will be explained elsewhere. Causing a gross offense involves breaking the boundary marker from the sky of the boundary. Within the boundary of the boundary marker, if wealth becomes an object of the boundary marker, and in order not to give it to the boundary marker person, like an arrow or a projectile, or through the deceptive magic of worldly inversion, repeating the boundary in the sky will result in a gross offense. Being without fault is when it is taken away by magic. If someone like an Arhat, possessing magical powers, takes an object from the sky, it will not result in the offense of the boundary marker. Going from another boundary is also permissible. In order to escape the range of the boundary marker, if one goes to a path without a boundary marker, that is, a path without a boundary marker, there is no fault. If one transforms, it is a minor offense. If a guide, walking within the boundary of the boundary marker, says "liberated" when the boundary marker person is sleeping or eating, it is a minor offense. Guiding to another path is also permissible. If a guide, walking within the boundary of the boundary marker, says, "If you go from another path, there is no breaking of the boundary marker," and then guides to another path, it is a minor offense. If it is said as a means, it is lighter. If a guide, walking within the boundary of the boundary marker, says, in a careless manner of speaking, "If you go when the boundary marker person is eating, you will be liberated," it is a lighter offense. A non-path is also like a path. The path itself that appears within the boundary of the boundary marker is not, but if one goes to the middle of the other shore and this shore, or to an area belonging to the boundary marker person's land, it results in a defeat. Placing it in a needle bag or mouth is also like other containers. If wealth that has become an object of the boundary marker is placed in a needle bag, or swallowed in the mouth or stomach, and if it crosses the range of the boundary marker, it also results in a defeat, just like taking it away in another container. If there is no intention to steal, it will not ultimately succeed. If one grasps an object thinking to steal it, but without the intention to steal, and puts it down without lifting it, it is a minor offense, there is a gross offense, but there is no defeat. Even if there is no act of stealing, but if the intention to steal arises immediately after taking the object, and if one steals it, it is a minor offense, there is no gross offense, but it will result in a defeat. One does not inquire even with letters and so on. If one indicates to steal with letters or gestures, and if that person steals, it also results in a defeat. With power or cutting also
