Oh! Regarding the boundaries and area of fields and houses, or transfers, after bribing a local official or an intermediary, whether it is the local official or the land owner who receives the bribe, thinking, "Although the monk has no power, let it go because of the dispute." If it is released with this thought, or if it is released as the local official says, "Let it go," it will be a Parajika offense. Disputing other properties is the same. This is the preparatory stage. Like transferring fields, if someone like a local official prevents a monk from having power, and the local people are unhappy and do not release it, but transfer the bribe, like transferring numbers, each time a gross offense is committed. Bribing a monk who has no power is also because the land owner prevents it, and the monk does not release it, but transfers numbers to bribe, like transferring numbers, each time a gross offense is committed. If there is no intention to steal, do not doubt that a fault will arise in the lineage of "Shogam." If one does not know that there is a lineage of "Shogam" and has no intention to steal, even if the object that becomes "Shogam" is surpassed by "Shogam," there is no fault. An old monk, in order to redeem a young monk who does not know the situation from "Shogam," stole property that would become "Shogam," crossed the border and took it back, and the young monk took the property, thinking, "How would it be considered committing a Parajika offense?" Hesitating, he thought that this would not constitute a crime. Whoever takes the property should give it away. If someone entrusts a monk with someone else's property that will become "Shogam," and comes to the place of the "Shogam" person, whatever the "Shogam" person owns, the monk who took the property should give it away. If one redeems someone else's property from what has been released, it is not considered stealing. If the monk is allowed not to judge "Shogam" but to release it, and the monk takes someone else's property, whatever the "Shogam" person owns, if it is not given for the sake of the property owner, a gross offense is committed. If it is not given for the sake of honoring oneself, a Parajika offense is committed. Whether it is for honoring oneself or for the sake of the property owner, if one has not thought about it, and does not give what the "Shogam" person owns, a minor offense is committed. This comes from the commentary on the Sutra. What is said from the mouth is that one redeems "Shogam" from someone else's property, and if one does not give what the "Shogam" person owns, a Parajika offense is committed. The basis for the establishment is King Iyi Saras. Allowing monks not to judge "Shogam," one monk took the property of another deceiver, which would become "Shogam," because it was not owned by the "Shogam" person, the precepts were established. If it is not released, it is from others.

It should not be repeated. If a monk's property has not been granted permission not to be taxed, then for someone with great power or strength, entrusting the matter of turning my property into tax to him. If the tax collector grants power, it fails if the value is sufficient, and if it passes unnoticed, do not force it. In order to prevent others from putting items that will become tax into my container, and passing through the tax unnoticed, one should protect and be aware in advance. If a merchant travels with a monk, and the merchant puts items that will become tax into the monk's container unnoticed, and after passing the tax, they become aware and have doubts, there is no other fault besides this, and one should be aware in the future. If unnoticed, there is a fault. Do not let many monks serve as guardians. Just as in the continuation of the Sutra, in order to prevent others from putting items that will become tax into my container. If going for alms or acting alone, have two or three monks serve as guardians, and if not arranged, there is a fault. Give the food from there in common. The beggars each take the remaining portion from the food left by the guardians, and then give it away. This prohibits doing so. Those serving as guardians should also prevent, if someone puts in items that will turn our supplies into tax, do not put them in. If they are put in, argue that due to the lack of power of the guardians, some property has been put into our container, and argue that it was put in the friend's place. If not, make a mark. If there are not enough monks to serve as guardians, make a mark or seal on the mouth of the container, and then go for alms. If no mark is made, there is a fault. Take it after asking. If taking back my items deposited with a merchant, ask if items that will become tax have been put in. If depositing someone else's items, also ask if they have not become tax. If you do not ask, there is a fault. If it cannot be taken out, wait for a while. If the seal or mark on my items is damaged, and even if asked, there is no answer, if there are no monastics, in order to take it out, touching the container, and if there are things like gold and silver, there is no fault even if you take it out by hand. This is from the vow offering that has not been given. If vowing to offer property that will become tax to the Three Jewels or parents, if the tax collector does not allow it, the tax collector's possessions must be given. If not given, a gross offense is committed. If vowing to offer to a friend or householder, even if not given, a gross offense is committed.
