All places should be carefully searched to prevent thieves. If afraid, one should make the sound "Mel-tse." In the monastery, if a monk is afraid, he should also make the sound "Mel-tse." After making the sound, do not lie down or enter into samadhi. As before, a monk designated to make the "Mel-tse" sound should not meditate or sleep while making the "Mel-tse" sound. After completing these rituals, the monastery manager should ask the abbot of the sangha. The abbot of the monastery should ask the monastery manager if the remaining tasks have been completed as prescribed. If something is lost from the monastery without being tied up, the monastery manager should compensate according to the degree of fault. If the outer door of the monastery is locked with five locks by the monastery manager, but something inside is still lost, the monastery manager is not liable. If only three locks are locked, two-fifths of the responsibility falls on him, and so on. One should carry a hook and rope. In a person's dwelling, carrying a rope and hook is to prevent the loss of items. Do not leave while the door is being locked or is locked. The monastery manager should not wander around without locking the door and latch. If entering an empty room, cleaning and other tasks should be done. If a monk comes from elsewhere and stays in a small room in the monastery, the room should be cleaned. Utensils should be placed in their respective places. If there are old items of the sangha in the room, do not move them. If it is appropriate to apply oil, it is also acceptable. The remaining items of the sangha should be washed and dried regularly. If someone is observing, let the birds land on the green grass. If there is a practitioner or a householder, let them rest on the green grass around the monastery stupa. If this person comes from a lay family, he should be given Dharma teachings and do other beneficial things. If a monk goes out from the monastery at noon and meets a householder who is happy to meet him, and comes to him, he should teach him the Dharma and satisfy him with food and other things. Planting trees is not something to be done without consideration. Monks are allowed to plant trees around the monastery. After planting, do not fail to protect them. As before, after planting trees, do not discard the branches casually, protect them. If not protected, it is a fault. Protect the trees until they flower. If it is a flowering tree, or until the flowers bloom.

It should be guarded, otherwise until it bears fruit. If the tree bears fruit, it should be guarded until the fruit matures. If it takes a long time, five years is enough. Like stump-like trees that grow in the shade, if they have not yet borne fruit or flowered, they should be guarded within five years. Just like oneself, it can also be entrusted to other monks. If one is about to leave, and a fellow monk says, "I will guard it," it is not a sin to entrust it to him and leave. Washing feet, chewing toothpicks, and washing bowls are all for the sake of bathing. For those growing trees, chewing toothpicks, washing feet, and washing bowls, if washed at the roots of the growing trees, it is beneficial for the growth of the trees. Therefore, houses are built to prevent cold. If the growing tree becomes cold, a wall should be built around it to keep it warm. To protect it, windows should be opened. Like a stump, surrounded by a wall, small holes should be opened in the wall. Covering, if the donated tree is cold, it should be covered with leaves from above. Uncover it for the coolness of spring. Like a stump, cover it, and uncover it again when it is warm in spring. To prevent rotting in the previous summer, this should also be done. Always when the growing tree is surrounded by a wall, the foundation should be rebuilt and water holes should be opened. When the stump-like house is not demolished, holes for leaking water should be opened. Do not neglect the maintenance of the root system. Do not neglect and protect the roots, moisture, radishes, and other organisms of the growing tree. Manage separately and take care of them separately. Plant many trees, and if one monk cannot take care of them all, they can be distributed according to the number of nuns and let them plant. Some chew toothpicks, some wash their faces, some wash their feet, etc., but not always like this. Like planting trees like stumps, it is not abandoning one's own merits and only planting trees, but chewing toothpicks next to some trees and pouring water for washing hands and feet. Some pour water for washing bowls. To protect the flowers and fruits, the monks should be warned. Like planting trees like stumps, when flowers bloom in spring and fruits bear in autumn, the Sangha should arrange for a monk to guard them. For meal times, others should replace them. When the monk who guards like a stump eats, the Sangha should arrange for another monk to replace him. Eat from the very beginning.
