In the outer room, when a young monk starts to go first, and an older one comes later, one should not say, "I go first." One should not ask someone who is sitting to stand up. If a monk is meditating in the room, one should not say, "You stand up and go out." How can one not follow the order of seniority here? In a place for meditation, whether old or young, whoever arrives first should sit first, there is no fault. It is not the business of a monk to deal with food and starting work. If a young monk sits on a high cushion and starts to eat, and an older monk comes later, one should not say, "You stand up, I will sit." One should not sit out of order. One should not sit above or below one's place in the order, but in one's own place. If one has done something and desires to have it, one should not keep the wheel and implements. If a monk has repaired a copper or other vessel that belongs to the Sangha, like one's own clothes, one should not always keep it, but give it to whoever needs it. For the sake of the meaning of the name at the time, spreading that cushion is like doing and not doing. If a monk puts a piece of clothing into dye once, and after drying it, needs to put it in dye again, one should not replace it with another wooden trough or similar object until the second dyeing is finished. At that time, one should mark it with a piece of clothing or a belt. If they are put into dye together like this, and one goes away for a moment for one's own business, one should put a belt or piece of clothing that cannot be taken by others on the edge of the trough. If there is a need and another way, one should not measure and use the Sangha's property. If one is cooking clothes or similar things like this, and one also has a copper vessel, one should not use other copper vessels belonging to the Sangha. If one is free, it is not a fault to mix one's own things and use the Sangha's things. It is not a fault if there is a need to seize something in such a situation. If a monk has his own copper vessel and uses both his own and the Sangha's copper vessel, and does not return it after finishing the work, it is not a fault for the monk to seize it and use it. The Sangha should keep the pestle and mortar together. It is not a fault for the Sangha to keep a mortar for grinding medicine. Also, the tools for cutting hair. It is not a fault for the Sangha to keep tools for cutting hair and nails. Put them in a bag and place them on the wall. Put razors and similar things in a bag and place them on the wall.

Like the gaps in a fence, place them without losing them. Tools such as adzes, axes, and sickles are also acceptable. There is no fault in the Sangha holding these items mentioned by name. Holding a sounding staff is to drive away snakes, etc. When a bhikkhuni enters inside and outside at night, she walks tapping with a sounding object like bamboo or iron, fearing that snakes, etc., will catch her feet. If the root of the birch bark cracks, a bowl is attached. If the bottom of the birch bark cracks, an iron bowl is attached. On the other side, it is wrapped with twine. Even if the top of the birch bark does not crack, it can be wrapped with iron or copper. Holding an umbrella, made of reeds or leaves.
