One should perform service. One should offer great respect and honor to the Khenpo. Furthermore, it is not enough to merely meet the Khenpo at the three times; one should attend to and serve him. Do not be friendly with those who are not amicable with him. Not being friendly with those who are not amicable with the Khenpo is because the Khenpo will be displeased. One should be cautious about this. For the Khenpo and Acharya, strive in their activities. For the sake of the Khenpo and Acharya, do not delay in tasks to be done, but quickly exert effort. Perform actions with respect and honesty. When performing tasks instructed by the Khenpo and Acharya, be diligent in doing them well, such as cleaning, which should be done cleanly, and be honest in the manner of bodily respect. With caution and the attitude of a Lama. Towards the Khenpo and Acharya, act with cautious vigilance and the attitude of being respectful and like a Lama. With a humble mind, like a servant. Think of them as merely servants, and conduct oneself in a humble manner. The Lama and master are powerful and one is dependent on them, because my discipline and Dharma, etc., depend on the Khenpo, so towards the Khenpo and Acharya, think of them as the Jowo (Lord). Knowingly, do not interrupt one's own practice. "Knowingly" means that regarding the tasks of serving the Khenpo and Acharya mentioned earlier, do not be lazy or forgetful, but always be mindful with awareness. "Do not interrupt one's own practice" means that one should not be content with merely serving the Khenpo and Acharya, but also not interrupt one's studies and meditation. How to seek virtue? Whatever the case may be, think about how to practice virtue, and contemplate how to practice to attain the eight stages of an Arhat. When wrong actions occur, prevent them. When one sees that one's own Khenpo and Acharya are acting wrongly, or if discipline is violated, the disciple should not do it in front of the assembly, but privately, if there is an opportunity to report, offer advice gently to prevent the wrong action. If virtue does not increase, request others to do it. If the disciple is in the Sangha of his own Khenpo or Acharya, and does not have time to practice virtue due to the large amount of Sangha activities, etc., if leaving the Sangha would make a difference, then request the Khenpo to allow one to entrust others to study. If one knows that one has made a mistake and comes to the residence, entrust it to others. As stated in the Sutra, if the disciple requests, the Khenpo should also privately

If someone is sent to study merely out of habit, then send them as requested. Avoid sinful friends. If a student requests to go out alone, and that is to associate with sinful friends, then do not send them, keep them. In order to increase merit, even if they have already been entrusted, advise them not to associate with sinful friends, and then entrust them. Appoint them for the sake of virtue, appoint them in that way. The Khenpo should have the students practice virtue, transforming it into merit, and give them scriptures and so on. In order to avoid falling, if a student commits a fault, including remaining ones, the Khenpo should give punishment, confession, and expulsion. Strive diligently to accomplish the necessities of harmonious living. If a student does not have the necessities of a monk's life, such as robes and bowls, the Khenpo should give and do. Acting together is done for one's own student. Attendant is done for someone who is entrusted and resides as an attendant in one's presence. Khenpo is done for one's own Khenpo. (Sanskrit: Ācārya, teacher) is done for one's own four Ācāryas. The same Khenpo is for oneself and someone with the same Khenpo. The same आचार्य is for one's friend who has the same आचार्य as oneself. Intimate is done for oneself and an intimate friend who has become a conversation partner. Steadfast is done for oneself and a steadfast friend who has become a counsel partner. Familiar is done for someone who speaks of one's qualities for the sake of one's friendship. Satisfied, because they are satisfied with oneself, even if they secretly take one's wealth, one will be happy. Care for the sick. If someone becomes sick, care for those whose names are mentioned above. If no one does the former, then do it in order. Like the back of the Sutra, among those whose names are mentioned, if the former ones are not there, then care for the latter patients in order. A lazy आचार्य is also included here. For the five Ācāryas, although a lazy आचार्य takes a long time, like the four Ācāryas, it belongs to the scope of needing to care for the sick. If one cannot do it all at once, then care for the place where one relies. If all the Khenpos and Ācāryas are gathered together, if one can care for the illnesses of all of them at once, then care for all of them. If one cannot, then care for the illness of the Khenpo. If there is no Khenpo, then care for the place where the आचार्य relies. For those who create in this way, it is like ordination. For a layperson who wants to be ordained, it is also permissible to shave their head for ordination.
