One should not think of it as pleasant, nor should one allow others to do it. Actions such as following, bowing, rising, joining palms, and welcoming should not be regarded as one's own by a monk who abides in his own nature. If these things should not be done, then others should not participate in them either. As mentioned above, for those who are punished and praised, a monk who has not been punished should not perform prostrations and respects. Walking, except in a secluded place, do not walk with him, do not walk together with the punished one or let the punished one go first. Do not sit on a low seat. Let the punished one sit on a high seat, and the unpunished one should not sit on a low seat. When walking in a village, even the later monks should do so. Even if the punished one is a senior, when entering the village, the unpunished one of lower status should go first. Do not trust to sleep alone. Just as one cannot spend the night with a monk, if the punished one spends the night at home, he commits an offense. Do not perform ordination, full ordination, and giving of residence, nor should one settle for the sake of a monk. Monks who are punished and praised should not participate in these affairs. Nor should one accept requests and recitations. Those who are punished and praised should not perform the tasks of requesting and praying. The Sangha should also not delegate. Even handling affairs, teaching nuns, and consolidating the Sangha's faith are included. Those who are punished and praised should not do these things. Things that were previously delegated should also not be done. A monk who is punished and praised, even if he was previously delegated to the affairs of twelve people, should not do it. Nor should one teach the nuns. A punished monk, even if he was previously delegated to teach the nuns with five conditions, should not teach. Even if it is like reciting the Pratimoksha during the Uposatha, one should not recite it. When reciting the Pratimoksha and performing the Uposatha, if there are other knowledgeable people, the punished one should not recite the Pratimoksha. Do not talk about the disputes of the monks. Even if a monk friend has committed an offense lower than Sanghavasesa, one should not correct or blame him without first requesting an explanation. The monk Vishuta said that a punished monk should not correct the offenses of a pure monk. This refers to those who have not been abandoned by the Sangha. For those who are punished with the seven types of abandonment offenses, it is punishment.
