Do not clap. Do not make noise while drinking soup. Do not slurp when drinking soup. Do not make "bkrung bkrung" sounds. When eating zan (roasted barley flour), if there is dry food, do not make "bkrung bkrung" sounds, but eat it. Avoid making sounds with water, etc. As stated in the Sutra, if there is dry food, do not make sounds, but avoid it and eat it. Cooling it down for the sake of eating is not allowed. Do not eat while playing music, etc., but sit quietly. It is not like this when speaking. After the Sangha has finished eating, do not eat zan when the elder is making the dedication of offerings. It is the same when hearing it. As stated in the Sutra, do not eat zan while hearing the elder making the dedication of offerings. Eating without hearing it is not a fault. If time has passed, recite two or three verses. As stated in the Sutra, when the elder is reciting verses, stop after each verse, and after reciting two or three shlokas (verses), it is not a fault to eat zan, for a short time that is not even enough to hold an umbrella. After eating, say the words spoken by the Buddha. Any bhikshu (monk) should recite one verse after finishing eating zan. If invited and eaten, make the dedication of offerings and teach the Dharma. When invited separately as a guest, after finishing eating zan, place the patron in front and recite verses and teach the Dharma. After knowing that everyone has finished eating. As stated in the Sutra, the elder's verses and Dharma teaching are done after finishing eating. Observe. As stated in the Sutra, when the elder is making the dedication of offerings, observe whether everyone has finished eating or not, and do it after everyone has finished. The first among many. Even if many bhikshus are sitting together, the verses and Dharma teaching are done by the disciplinarian (karmadana). If he cannot, entrust it to someone who can. As stated in the Sutra, if the disciplinarian cannot do the verses and Dharma teaching, it is not a fault to entrust it to a junior. If he leaves without doing it, or for some reason, then a bhikshu should give the offering of a servant. When inviting the Sangha as guests, after finishing eating zan, if one wants to leave for some reason before summer arrives, the disciplinarian should keep the servant who recites the verses. Bijayabarma said that about ten people can be arranged. Bishuta said that the disciplinarian should not be in a hurry to combine words, but should instruct the people who teach the Dharma and recite the verses before leaving. At most four people. As

According to the Sutra, if there are not enough monks, about ten, to perform the alms confession, even if less than four monks are arranged to preside, it should be reported with an excuse. According to the Sutra, if the appointed stewards who recite the elder's chapters are also in a hurry due to an emergency, they should report to the Sangha for other arrangements, and then recite the chapters at the place of the emergency. When giving alms confession, recite the names of those who are willing and rejoice. After praying for the patrons who give alms confession, recite the names of those who are willing and rejoice, and the Sangha prays for them to have longevity and well-being. If there are two esophaguses, that is, if they appear at the wrong time, rinse your mouth two or three times before swallowing. Livestock have two esophaguses, and swallowing food and water is also different. Food is eaten first, and then regurgitated at night. Some monks, like livestock, vomit and regurgitate after eating food, and should spit it out two or three times and rinse their mouths. After that, do not spit it out again, but swallow it again. This is not the case with food. If there is food in something like vomit, in order to swallow it again, spit it out and rinse your mouth. If you swallow it, you will break the precepts. Therefore, for vomiting and regurgitation at the wrong time, others should also rinse their mouths. According to the Sutra of Gautama, if there is food in something like vomit, or sometimes after vomiting due to illness, swallowing it again will become untimely food, so spit it all out and rinse your mouth. Do not spit in places that are not designated. Do not spit anywhere in places that are not designated for spitting, such as temples. Do not make "gadagad" sounds. Do not spit or sweep garbage on good sandy land. Also, do not make that sound in front of the elders. Do not make spitting sounds in front of elders and lamas. This is not for eating. When eating tsampa, do not make spitting sounds so as not to make friends feel sick. Do not make sounds again and again, even for leftovers. In front of the lower seat elder, except for occasionally, do not make spitting sounds many times, this is what Bishuda said. When a monk does not eat in front of a friend, he should not arbitrarily make spitting sounds, this is what Bijayavarma said. If you can't, give it to someone else.
