It is also like that. Afterwards, if one person dedicates the initial two places, if there are monks and others present, then say, "Venerable ones, please listen! This place will become the common property of the Sangha," saying this also constitutes a dedication. Where it becomes the common property of the Sangha, it is dedicated through supplication and reporting. One boundary is that if a monastery is established and monks come to reside within it, no matter how long they stay, if they have never been separated from a single monk, then the Sangha, having gathered, can dedicate it as the common property of the Sangha and permanent property through the actions of supplication and reporting. How long they come and stay, then it is spoken with the words of the four places of observation equal to that. If a monastery is empty and deserted, and other monks come, then it can be dedicated as the common property of the Sangha and permanent property, and all the monks of one boundary are outside the fence at dawn, and then come to the monastery to make the dedication, both of which speak of the two actions of supplication and reporting, and all the monks say, "Let us do it here." In many places, it is not unseemly for one person to do the work of the monastery alone. Within one great boundary, if the Sangha of many monasteries gathers in one place, and dedicates the common property of the Sangha and permanent property of one monastery through the actions of supplication and reporting, then the common property of the Sangha and permanent property of all the other monasteries will also become places of observation. If it becomes different, then it is said to be熏染 with this. Within one great boundary, if there are many monasteries, and the Sangha gathers in one place, and dedicates the common property of the Sangha as before, then within the food boundary, both the overnight food and the cooked food are also owned by all the monasteries within one great boundary. These two can be owned even in times of famine. One type mentioned below can be owned even in times of famine. The food cooked by the monks, and in the year of crop failure, in times of famine, whether observed or not, whether cooked by oneself or by a friend, can be freely enjoyed. Use what has been given. If a monk touches food beforehand, and then eats it after making the use of what has been given, then there is no fault. The food of the next day is also the same. Even if eaten repeatedly in times of famine, there is no fault. Porridge is for all times. Whether porridge is faulty or not, it can be drunk repeatedly without being wasted. After giving, abandoning and using it

I am like this. After taking alms, if one takes only what is enough for oneself, abandons the rest, and thinks of not eating the leftovers, but then takes them back and eats them, there is no fault. If one stands up while eating and then sits down again to eat, there is no fault. It is also acceptable to stand up after taking the leftovers. When eating tsampa, if one sits on the ground and eats, thinking that it is enough, but then gives it up and says, "Give me some more," it is acceptable to eat like that. If one stands up and then sits down again, there is no fault in eating. During a famine, it is permissible to eat the leftovers when visiting someone's house as a guest, and there is no fault. This is accumulation. During a bad year, if a patron places a lot of food in front of oneself and gives it, even if one eats only a little, the leftovers belong to the child. When the trees are ripe, the sutra says: grapes, Nepali apples, dates, pomegranates, mangoes, myrobalan, pomegranates, pears, Ceylon olives, etc. Bijayavarma said that these things mentioned by name can be eaten repeatedly in the morning during a bad year. Bishuta said that they can also be eaten in the afternoon. The pond is also the same. Later it says that up to the pond, it is permissible to eat during a bad year, which refers to these. The sutra says: lotus roots, arrowhead, beta, roots of utpala, and lotus seeds. During a bad year, these things that grow in the pond can also be eaten. These are medicines. The Miscellaneous Matters Sutra is complete. Do not accept the promise to serve the king or for the sake of the king. If the king dies or is not in power, and the people say, "Bhikkhu, you become the king, crown prince, or minister," do not accept it. One may accept a village for the sake of the Sangha. If someone offers a town, surrounding land, and houses to the Sangha, one may accept it. The same goes for fields. If someone offers fields to the Sangha, one may accept them. Do not abandon it. Afterwards, for the villages and fields that have been offered, one should cultivate and manage them. Give this portion away. If one cannot cultivate the fields oneself, one should divide them among others. Take back the divided portion, and if one divides it among others but they do not give it back, one may take it back. Have the person who does the work send it to the monastery. The portion divided among the householders should not be borne by the bhikkhu himself, but should be managed by the householders. One should start with oneself first. If a bhikkhu and a householder divide the portion together, the Sangha has the right to have the householder manage it first. Do it later.
