It is not the food of vultures. If I have the intention to eat the remains of livestock or wild animals eaten by tigers and other beasts other than lions, I commit a transgression. Cows, horses, and dragons are not included. If one eats the meat of these named animals, one commits a transgression. Single-hoofed animals, foxes and monkeys, wooden carts, crows, hoopoes, garudas, ospreys, owls, and other carrion-eating birds such as the Kaka and Jataka birds, frogs, and some gathered insects, are all impure. If one eats the meat of these named animals, one commits a transgression. Is this not slaughtered meat? Ask when giving, receiving, or distributing. If someone gives or buys meat, do not ask, but ask as before, is this not the meat of these named animals? If they say yes, then do not eat it. The meat of sheep and goats is not to be eaten. If there are many, ask first. If distributing as before, the asking should be done by the abbot. If distributing, it should be done by the steward. If the abbot forgets, the steward who is present should ask. Do not drink cow's milk or human milk. Since they are not nuns, they do not drink the milk of these named animals. If the patient is advised by a doctor to benefit, then they may drink it. What is not defiled is used on skin wounds, or dripped into the eyes, by those who do not eat it. If one eats the previously forbidden meat and the two kinds of milk, one will commit a transgression, but applying it for the benefit of rice or the nose, or thinly applying it to the body, etc., using it separately for the body, is without fault. A patient may drink a beverage mixed with alcohol, mustard oil, or ghee. For the benefit of a sick monk, there is no fault in pouring a small amount of alcohol into ghee or mustard oil and drinking it. Without fault means when there is no alcohol. As before, if the alcohol mixed with ghee has a different color, taste, and smell from alcohol, then it may be drunk. It is ready after boiling. If one boils a copper pot full of alcohol until it is half full, and the smell is not strong, and the taste and color are also different from alcohol, then it may be drunk. Bury this in the ground and add roasted barley to make it mature. Bury a bottle full of alcohol in the ground, put roasted barley into the alcohol, cover it, and leave it to mature. If the color and taste are different from alcohol, then there is no fault. Boiled grape wine will not turn into the taste of mutton. Drink boiled grape wine.

If the taste of alcohol is not suitable for a dead person, then there is no fault in drinking it. If it is not separated, then it does not exist. Like grapes, brown sugar, trees, and sesame, if a Bhikshu monk friend eats them without giving and receiving, he will fall, therefore, squeezing the juice of those things, if a Bhikshu monk friend drinks it without giving and receiving, then that is a transgression. If a habit is formed, then it exists. Cooking food with impure things or water contaminated by food and eating it will result in a transgression. If one does not know that it has been contaminated by others, then there is no transgression for others, but whoever knows and gives it, that is a transgression for everyone. In order to separate things mixed in alcohol, use water infused with the aroma of alcohol to soak the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and dried medicinal powder. For a Bhikshu monk who is very fond of alcohol, in order to separate from alcohol, put the things mentioned above into impure things, extract them from the steam of a distiller, then mix it with water, with a slightly sour taste, and a slight taste of alcohol, there is no fault in drinking it. Soak in the place where the alcohol vessel has been used. Wrap the above-mentioned powder in white cloth and fumigate it in the steam of alcohol. Preserve it without touching, so that delirium and fainting can be calmed. Like the above, fumigating in alcohol, even if touching the path of alcohol, scraping it off from the foam of alcohol is also acceptable, if there is nothing that surges upward like young alcohol, then fumigate it first. Similarly, it is also the same for separating taste and non-seasonal thirst with food. Some flowers and fruits are made into powder like a filter, do not use spicy and sweet tastes, but use mixed and sour ones. Beverages made like this can be made into a lifetime beverage and a seven-day beverage, and can be given to people to drink immediately, if it is contaminated by food, in order not to fall, do not contaminate it. If it is beautiful, that is good. Spicy and sweet tastes are not good, so it is not beautiful, if there is something like turbidity and thin porridge, in order to be beautiful, filter it with a cloth and make it clean before drinking. Therefore, make a package with white cloth. The method of cleaning and clarifying like a filter is: Put the stems, flowers, and leaves of the filter into white cloth and squeeze, in order to make it clear and clean, do it like that. A patient should also not drink the juice of alcohol grass. Whether it is a patient or a non-patient, it is not allowed to drink a small amount of alcohol, not even as much as the tip of a blade of grass.
