Even if there is only one left, it is okay. There is no fault in making many layers of shoes from only bear skin and wearing them. This is the Tika of 《མདོ་སྟེང་མ》. Other than Asmavarandaka, one should not hold other skins. In the place called Asmavarandaka, all skins can be held except for tigers, leopards, etc. It is also not for lions, etc. In the place of Asmavarandaka, one cannot wear the skins of lions, tigers, and leopards. Sinews, bones, teeth, meat, and fat also belong to those whose skins have not been inspected. The skins that are not allowed to be cut like the back, these names that are mentioned should not be held. One can hold a swimming bladder. There is no fault in holding a flag. It can also be ochre or blue. The color of the swimming bladder should be like this. It should not be patterned or close to patterned. One should not hold a patterned swimming bladder. All those who do not know how to swim should not enter deep water before learning. If one does not know how to swim, one should not enter a large river without using a boat, raft, or plank-like method. Learn to swim in a secluded place. Monks should learn to swim in a secluded place. In deep places, cows should not be allowed to enter except for elephants. In a large river, except for cows and calves, holding onto the tail of an elephant to walk, if one holds onto the tail of a mother elephant, one will commit an offense. If one holds onto a calf, it is because it is weak. What is held onto is the tail of cows, horses, buffaloes, and yaks, etc. Do not hold onto the tails other than those mentioned by name. This is about items made of skin. From here onwards, it is an explanation of medicine. About the use of medicine. When a monk is sick, it is used in order to use medicine and not become an obstacle to virtuous deeds. There are four types of this: there are four types of food medicine, namely: immediate, afternoon, seven days, and lifetime. Immediate is from dawn to noon. One day is from dawn to sunset. Seven days and lifetime are until they are actually used up. For the sick, it is not like this at first. Immediate food, whether sick, not sick, or similar to not sick, can be eaten, but a sick person cannot leave food overnight. The other three, there is no fault in the sick person holding them. ཚོ་ཙ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) and མོ་ཙ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) and ཏ་ཀོ་ལ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) and ཀ་ཤུད་ཏའི་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) and the juice of Udumbara and Parushaka and grapes and the water of dates are all okay. Squeeze the juice of the fruits mentioned by name and give it to the sick person to drink.

Whether it is edible or not, it is permissible to drink after filtering. It is also permissible to drink in the morning. Similarly, fruit juice, salt, yogurt, buttermilk, and herbs are also permissible. All these mentioned by name, whether filtered or not, are permissible to drink in the afternoon. These must be examined with water. After filtering with water, it should appear as clear as the color that appears after filtering with cotton cloth. For the drinks mentioned in the Vinaya, they need to be carefully filtered to make them clear, examined with water, and then it is permissible to drink. Therefore, one should not touch a Bhikshu before, because of the similarity in names. As mentioned in the Vinaya supplement, there are thirteen kinds of drinks that a Bhikshu can squeeze and filter himself in the morning and then drink. In the afternoon, even if alms are received, it is not permissible for a Bhikshu to squeeze and filter them himself and then drink. If a Shramanera or a householder squeezes and filters, examines with water, and then drinks after receiving alms, there is no fault. The five myrobalans and others are also the same. The five, namely myrobalan, baheda, amla, long pepper, and nalesham, can be eaten by a Bhikshu or in the morning. Jaggery is also the same. Jaggery and sugar candy can also be eaten in the afternoon. Jaggery and sugar candy can also be drunk after being mixed with water. These can be eaten after offering, just like a sick person, and can also be given to travelers, food providers, and people at the workplace. Medicine offered for seven days can be eaten by the sick person himself, or given to others like friends, or to those who have come tired from a long journey, as well as the mattress caretakers of the Sangha, etc., and the Bhikshu who is appointed to build a new monastery, all these can eat. Because food has been interrupted, these can be eaten at inappropriate times. A Bhikshu who has not eaten after noon can also eat medicine that is seven days old. Drinks should be taken in portions. Things that are permissible to drink in the afternoon can be drunk from the next morning until sunset, this is the first. The drink that can be drunk should be a clear drink without impurities. Things that have not been touched there, but because of the time, those who have not received full ordination can rub and filter with cotton cloth. Afterwards, there are eight kinds of things that can be drunk in the afternoon, in the morning a Bhikshu receives alms, and in the morning he can rub and drink himself, while in the afternoon it is not permissible for a Bhikshu to rub and filter, and the Bhikshu filters and receives alms, these eight situations are also the same.
