If it is covered with coarse cloth and sewn, it can be used because it will bring merit to the patron. Similarly, it can be held and relied upon the patron. Mules' hair and mottled colors, etc., which are not designated as monks' robes, are not sinful even if they are designated to be held by householder patrons. Inner garment hems, dust food, and patches, it is not sinful to hold one patch each of these mentioned by name. It is also okay to use utensils. It is not sinful to hold food or clothes as medicine or merchandise. This is not sinful even if it is white or has edging. As for medicine and merchandise, it is not sinful even if it is white cloth and the edging is not cut. The measure of the price is a few ounces of silver, and it can be held no matter how much it is worth. It is also not for the Sangha. If there are leftover clothes for the common use of the Sangha, it is not sinful to hold them without cutting the edging or changing the color. It can be designated for needed clothes and held. The thirteen items that are allowed to be held can be designated and held with the mantra of self-possession. Others can be observed and held in multiple numbers. If there are leftover clothes other than the thirteen items and they are held, it is not sinful to observe them with the remaining mantra and hold them. Do not observe those whose minds are unstable. Not observing the remaining clothes, observe the Khenpo and Acharya, who have discipline, are without defilement, and are steadfast. Do not observe those who are not fully ordained. The mantra for observing clothes should not be recited to householders and monks. Do not do it publicly. Observing clothes for the Khenpo and Acharya should not be seen, known, or heard by them, but should be observed secretly in the presence of one friend. If the mantra is recited in sight or hearing, there is a sin. If observed while living in another place, it will not be damaged. The Khenpo or Acharya, or the person whose clothes are being observed, will not be damaged even if they live alone or go to another place. Damage means moving. If the person who observed the clothes dies or is expelled, the mantra of observation will become ineffective. If it is known. Until it is known that they have been expelled or died, the mantra remains effective. The owner of this is the observer. When blessing clothes with a mantra, even if it is thought to be someone else's and observed, one can use and hold it oneself. Do not take what is given away as one's own. Do not let others forcibly demand clothes that have been given away. Give it to a monk. If a fall occurs when giving away clothes, give it to a monk who knows the rules. It is not for the Sangha.

. Abandoned clothes should not be given to the Sangha, but to an individual Bhikshu. Not to the foolish. The Bhikshu to whom it is abandoned should not be foolish and ignorant of the rules, but to the intelligent and knowledgeable. If not given, beg. If the other party does not give after abandoning clothes, beg within the allowed limits, saying, "My clothes are not enough." Take back by force. If the abandoned clothes are begged for but not given, have a friend take them away. If clothes are stained with dirt, wash them and use them. If one's own clothes etc. are stained with dirt, wash off the dirt without checking. If there is powder, dust it off. If stained with dirt powder, dust it off. If stained with oil, wipe it clean. If clothes are stained with oil, wash them. When it rains, one cannot use the Sangha's (things) without a cloak. One should not walk wearing the Sangha's clothes in the rain. One should not use the Sangha's clothes for washing, cooking, doing alms bowl work, and splitting wood etc. When doing the things mentioned above, one should not do them wearing the Sangha's clothes. After placing it, if one does not say "together", even if there is no one else, one should give and count it accurately. If three people entrust something to me, saying, "Do not give it until the three of us have gathered", one should not give it even if one or two come. If they entrust it without saying "Do not give it until the three of us have gathered", there is no fault in giving it even if one or two come. One should not associate with thieves. When distributing property, if someone who is not associated with the property owner comes to collect it, one should not give it even if there is proof. One should not take things from relatives and madmen who are not from one's own household. If a madman says that he took things from his own house and his parents' house and gave them to me, there is no fault in taking them. Take from an expelled son. If a son expelled by his parents takes property from his parents' house and gives it to me, there is no fault in taking it. The same goes for things taken back from the cemetery. If items from a corpse in the cemetery are taken and given to me, there is no fault in taking them. If he wants it back, give it. As it says in the Vinaya, if the items of a corpse are given and then wanted back, give them. If they give again, do not be angry, take them. The property of stupas. The property offered to stupas is for the Sangha.
