When getting up after resting on the road, recite the verses spoken from the mouth and walk. It is the same at the watering place. At the watering place, also speak the verses spoken from the mouth. That is for the water there. Reciting verses at the watering place is dedicated to the person who digs the well or draws the canal. Dedicate it to the king of rivers. Also dedicate it to other gods. Recite one verse to the water god. Recite three times at the residence. If you spend the night on the road, recite three times in the morning and walk. This is the rule of the monastery. Even if the monastery people hold the rope of the watering place, there is no sin. The length of that rope is from one hundred and fifty cubits to one hundred cubits. The length of the rope of the watering place should be from below one hundred and fifty cubits to above one hundred cubits. From the people of the place, from other people. Some Vinaya holders say that the rope of the watering place can be held according to the length of the well. If there is no well and water is scarce, then without this, one cannot travel in the place. If there is no river and only a well, then the rope must be cut off. If there is no well and there is a river in the place, then there is no sin in holding the rope. The traveler shakes off the Dharma garment, takes a bath or washes his hands and feet, and takes water. Walking on the road, if you are going to a temple, shake off the Dharma garment, etc. If there is dirt on the body, take a bath. If you cannot take a bath, you must wash five parts of the body, then take the water for the mandala and sprinkle it, wipe the shoes, and wipe the shoes with clean water so that there is no dust. Put on the three Dharma garments. When going to the temple, put on the three Dharma garments. Enter the temple with peaceful conduct. Do not shake your head or stretch out your arms, enter the temple. Bow to the four elders and stand up. After arriving at the temple, before asking the age, bow to the Sangha of monks while standing and then stand and sit down. In a secret place, lower your voice, with beautiful and extremely restrained behavior. Standing and sitting, in a place where everyone can see and is bright, lower your voice, be beautiful and restrained in behavior, and sit without wanting to pry and know. Rest with reason. Do not rest without understanding. If a monk comes from afar, then the person sitting should bow to the Khenpo and Acharya, etc.

If you know and recognize the background of the person who comes, let him rest. If you do not know the background and do not recognize him, do not let him rest. Even if it is the same kind of person. If someone comes who knows the situation here and does not cheat, let him rest. Close the door. If begging, do not give. If there is an unknown monk coming from afar, advise him to close the outer door that allows him to enter. If someone comes from afar, anyone may say, "Please give a little now," even if they come like this, advise them not to give. Admonish, "Take it and go." Admonish that if a monk from afar uses those things to do what allows him to enter, admonish him not to use them. Having promised, let go, and if lost, tell a friend to close the door, and if begging for things, do not give. Having instructed in this way, if it is lost from what was promised, the monk who promised must bear the responsibility. Explain that these trustworthy elders are friends, etc., and then let them give alms. In addition, tell a friend that someone coming from afar may do what allows him to enter, and may also steal, so close the door. Admonish not to let them take things, and if that friend says, I know this person, he will not do what allows him to enter, etc., please trust him. If I lose something after leaving, that monk friend must bear the responsibility. Use special methods that only those who know can recognize. If an unknown monk comes from afar, and my friend says, "Please give him this thing," and comes to take it with proof of the token, if he comes with a token of me and another person, then there is no fault in giving it. If he comes with a token of two or three other people, do not give it. Even if given, it is the same. If something is given, and the other person is not asked whether they have received it, and the thing falls and breaks in the middle, the responsibility lies with me. Even if not taken, it is the same. If something is given, and the other person is asked whether they have received it, and the other person says they have received it, and then the thing falls and breaks, the responsibility lies with the other person. You should ask him, "You weren't careless, were you?" If you give utensils or things to someone else, ask whether they have received them, and if you give them without asking, then it is a mistake. If it becomes bad due to contempt, etc., it must be washed.
