Such is the manner of dedication. If a patron dedicates offerings separately by name to monasteries and the Sangha, etc., then as dedicated, it will not be used for other purposes. Obtaining it is also so. If there is a Sangha member who is not counted among the Sangha but comes from elsewhere, then it is permissible to cut off his meal and porridge offerings and offer them, and it is also permissible to give offerings directly to him. Designating a village for alms is also without fault. Accomplishing it extensively is also so. Within a single boundary, many Sangha members reside, and some of them are inclined towards heretical teachings, so the Sangha is divided into two groups, and offerings and alms are dedicated to be received separately. If a village inclined towards non-Dharma comes to make general offerings, then those inclined towards non-Dharma are the same as those inclined towards Dharma. For the sake of the Sangha, the boundary is cut off by the act of severing sins. Likewise, here too, are the same and so on. Within a single monastery, many monks reside, and after all the others have abandoned the monastery and wandered off in various directions, if a general offering is made to the Sangha in that monastery, then whichever monk resides in that monastery has the right to it. The share of those who speak of the gains of the Dharma is also so. If an offering is made to the Dharma (Tibetan: དྷརྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्म, Sanskrit Romanization: Dharma, Chinese literal meaning: Law), then the monk who recites the Dharma (Tibetan: དྷརྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्म, Sanskrit Romanization: Dharma, Chinese literal meaning: Law) has the right to it. The limit of this is holding one verse spoken by the Blessed One. As follows, the monk who has the right to the offerings for reciting the Dharma (Tibetan: དྷརྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्म, Sanskrit Romanization: Dharma, Chinese literal meaning: Law), even if he can only fluently recite and hold one verse spoken by the Blessed One, it is without fault to receive the offerings made to the Dharma (Tibetan: དྷརྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्म, Sanskrit Romanization: Dharma, Chinese literal meaning: Law). What is inappropriate for the belongings of the deceased is having different names and placing them elsewhere. If a monk dies from the Sangha within a single boundary, then his belongings and wealth, the nuns with different boundaries, and the Devadatta group, etc., and those who do not have authority, the Sangha within a single boundary has the right to it. Abandoning is also the same. As follows, if some monks are expelled from within a single boundary from the wealth of a deceased monk, then they also do not have authority over the wealth of the deceased. Not returning is also so. Not turning the mind away from the precepts is also so. If two or three monks reside within a single boundary, and all die and are gone, and one monk remains, then the monk who has not died has the right to all the remaining wealth. Exhaustion.

If there are only expelled monks near that monastery, if the previous mark is not canceled for the monk, then it is entitled. If the mark is not canceled, then whoever is a nun near it is also entitled. For those who have receivers, there is no difference. If an expelled monk dies, his belongings and property belong to the Sangha. If there is another offense in that Sangha, then he cannot obtain it. This is distinction and difference. If a Sangha is divided into two factions, good and non-good, and some of them are inclined to good, then the very virtuous Sangha is entitled. If the non-virtuous one dies, the non-virtuous Sangha is entitled. Others are not entitled except for those who practice celibacy. If some of the monks of the Sangha die, their property and belongings, except for mortgages and the king, belong to the Sangha of monks. It is not obtained by request. For the property of a deceased monk, if the Sangha examines it through the mantra of request and supplication, and some monks have gone outside the boundary, then they are not entitled. If they have gone to the affairs of the Sangha, even if the examination has not arrived, they are entitled. Through the ritual of request and supplication, even guest monks are entitled. The initial and the final are also. The initial and the final will be explained later in the sutra. Some of them, if they are given from the Sangha to the elders and the newly ordained, it is said there. If from the property of a deceased monk, one abbot and one monk living at the end are given, or if medicine or a small amount of property is given to one or two monks, whatever it may be, if something is given, since the boundary has been determined, those who come later are not entitled. From where the dedication is made, it is dedicated within that boundary. If the property of one monk is stored in another monastery, and that monk dies, then the monk residing in that place is not entitled, and the Sangha where the property is stored, if it is examined through the ritual of request and supplication, then those Sanghas where the clothes are located are entitled. This is not because this is the place of death. Just like later, if the property of a deceased monk, the friends of the Sangha say, the boundary where the property is stored is not important, the monk died within our boundary, so please give the property to us, saying this and taking it is not entitled.
