It does not enter. Even if one has not entered the discipline, if one does not abandon the dwelling, then one dwells. If one has not consecrated with the mantra for entering the discipline, and even if one has not entered the discipline, but the discipline remains in one place for three months, and one has not departed and has not spent the night, then it is similar to having entered the discipline, and one will also obtain ten qualities, which will be explained below. Entering the discipline in the sky does not occur. If someone with magical powers enters the discipline in the sky and remains for three months, it does not become entering the discipline. If it is not a boat, unless one separates from it, or relies on the ground, or is bound, or relies on the ground, if one does not know that relying on it will cause obstacles. Entering the discipline inside a boat also does not become entering the discipline. If one relies on a boat and is not carried away by the water, or if a rope is tied to a tree and one is not carried away, or if the rope is untied during the day and pulled in various directions, and then the rope is tied again before dawn the next morning, even if one has entered the discipline, the discipline will not be broken. Breaking occurs if one dwells in a heretical view, takes refuge in non-Buddhist teachings, and dawn breaks. If a monk's mind dwells in confusion or holds wrong views, even though the body remains in the discipline of a monk, if the mind believes in wrong views and enters the realm of other heretics, and spends the night there with them, then if dawn breaks, the discipline is broken. Doubt does not cause it. Entering the discipline, if one doubts whether one has entered the discipline or not, the discipline is not broken, but one does not become one who has entered the discipline. Dedication to the other six extremes is not sufficient. If one has consecrated with the mantra of the seven nights of discipline and is able to go, then on the sixth night, before departing from the discipline, if one consecrates with the mantra of the seventh night, and departs for the sake of the Dharma or a life-threatening situation, then if dawn breaks on one night, the discipline is broken. Breaking occurs if, after entering the discipline, one does not return from it or remain there without necessity. Afterwards, if one goes for the sake of the Dharma, etc., if one has consecrated with the mantra of the seven nights, then one has the authority to go, and these words that are spoken by name, if the affairs of others, such as the Dharma, are completed, even if one goes from that place after hearing that the affairs are completed, it is acceptable, but if one hears it on the road and does not return, and dawn breaks after spending the night, then the discipline is broken. For the sake of the Dharma, the mantra of the seventh night.

If one leaves after being restrained (in some way), (it is stipulated that) if it was determined beforehand, one cannot leave before seven days have passed. If one says this and acts accordingly, the precept is broken. Its limit is within seven days. It is permissible to leave for the sake of the Dharma. Those whose names have been mentioned above, it is permissible to restrain them with a seven-day mantra, but if it is more than seven days or even if restrained, it is useless, because the precept will be broken. Not having permission is the limit. To leave alone, having obtained permission from the Sangha, if it is for the sake of the Dharma, permission is granted to leave for forty days. Apart from that, if seven days have passed and the dawn of the eighth day appears, the precept will be broken. Furthermore, it is forty days. If a strange circumstance occurs, the Sangha can grant permission, allowing one to leave for up to forty days. Having given permission in this way, if one continues to reside afterwards, even if it is for a long time, the precept will not be broken. If a circumstance arises for giving permission, and it is thought permissible to allow one to leave for forty days, the Sangha should grant permission. If it is not granted, it is a transgression. Apart from that, the five types of people who do not reside outside are also the same as this. The Sangha grants permission to leave for forty days, Even if forty days have passed after leaving, it is permissible, meaning that it was determined beforehand that one cannot leave before forty days have passed. If one wanders and acts accordingly, it will be broken. Bhikshus, Bhikshunis, Shramaneras, Shramaneris, and Shikshamanas, all five types of people, the procedure for leaving for forty days is the same. This is born within the boundary. Receiving the forty-day mantra, one must also receive it from the place where one has entered the precept. If one receives it from another place, it is not considered to have been done. In front of a Bhikshu. Receiving the forty-day mantra is not done alone, but received from one Bhikshu. A Shramanera receives it from a Bhikshu. Do not doubt, it is not useless, it is not. Those whose names have been mentioned above, even if they leave after being restrained by a seven-day mantra, it will not be broken, do not doubt that it will be broken. In order to distinguish the observation of long-term residence, and when explaining the Dharma of the Buddha to a long-term resident, if the long-term resident abandons his own Dharma and turns towards the Dharma of the Buddha, merely to that extent, at the time of the precept, even if one leaves after applying a mantra, there is no fault. For the affairs of relatives, for explaining the Dharma to relatives, for illness, for going to meet for the sake of happiness, and (other situations).
