After reporting to the Sangha, return. A certain benefactor, in order to accomplish a certain matter, went to a certain village in a certain place, and reported that the Sangha would enter the rules. When entering the rules, recite these mentioned names. When entering the rules, in the place of the benefactor named so-and-so, and the one who completes the affairs and gives instructions named so-and-so, and the monastery named so-and-so, these Sangha members will enter the rules, recite separately one day in advance, let them understand, and then enter the rules. If it has not happened, or if faults and unpleasantness have not occurred, then whether it will happen later or not, or it will not happen, must be checked without omission, and if it is determined that it will not happen, then the ceremony of entering the rules is performed. The prayer is for doubts, and if a fault occurs in one's own precepts, doubts arise, or if one is refuted by others, and there is someone to dispel doubts, then the ceremony of entering the rules is performed. In addition, whether there is suffering, physical suffering, food and insect pests, and harm to sentient beings, is checked, and even if it is uncomfortable, if it becomes comfortable later, then the ceremony of entering the rules is performed. If one is unhappy, or if one is upset and becomes uncomfortable, one does not enter the rules, like the back of the head.

In front of the solitary place. Entering into discipline means that one should not enter into discipline in a house without a roof. When performing mantras, one should not perform mantras for a novice or a nun. One should also not perform mantras alone. Performing mantras in the presence of a monk means residing in a house with a roof. It is not appropriate in a temple. If four or five temples are connected, it is permissible to lay down a re-lde (a kind of cloth or mat) at the junction of the boundaries. Then, by performing mantras according to the discipline on top of it, if all the houses are made to abide, then it becomes entering into discipline. However, depending on how many houses there are, each transgression will occur accordingly. Where there are no monks and doors, if one enters into discipline, then in a house with doors, if there is also a monk assisting, then one enters into discipline. Either of these two is indispensable. If one enters into discipline without one of them, it is a transgression. If there is a patron and an accomplisher, as well as a village and servants, then mention them. Afterwards, mention the names of the patron and the accomplisher, as well as the village and the temple. Without permission, one should not let dawn break outside the boundary. After entering into discipline, one should not go anywhere else for three months. If one does go, and goes without being blessed by mantras, and dawn breaks, then the discipline is broken. If blessed by mantras, then one can go within seven days. For the sake of Dharma, one can dedicate seven days. Allowing one to go within seven days is also for the sake of Dharma. Going for things like the things that come from below in the Dharma, then the seven-day mantra is permissible. If it is not for the sake of Dharma, but for the sake of food and one's own experience, then even if mantras are blessed, the discipline is broken. For example, if a monastery is poor, or if a faithful patron donates fields, wealth, and villages, and invites (monks), then by blessing with a seven-day mantra, one has the authority to go during the time of discipline. If one begs for a temple, or if a new temple is built and an inauguration ceremony is held, and (monks) are invited, then during the time of discipline, one has the authority to go by blessing with mantras. If one donates bedding, or if an initial patron invites (monks) for the sake of donating bedding and wealth, then during the time of discipline, it is permissible to go if mantras are blessed. If there is a permanent offering, or if (monks) are invited or called for the sake of providing food regularly to the Sangha or the temple, then it is also permissible to go. If one begs for a stupa, or if one builds a stupa and statues, etc.
