In front of the temple's guardian deity, offer a discipline stick and place it slowly. When picking up the discipline stick and placing it again, do not shake it, place it slowly. Count and say, "In this place, this many monks have taken the discipline stick." Distribute and collect the discipline sticks, then count them and say to the Sangha, "This many people have taken the discipline stick and entered the discipline." Allow the taking of items from the dwelling. After entering the discipline, distribute rooms and their furnishings to the individual monks. Finally, take the earth and double portions and sit in front. First generate faith and say, "Please accept this Elder's temple of such and such qualities, along with its gains and robes." Praise in this way, according to the qualities. The method of distributing rooms is to collect the door latches and double portions of each room and pile them in front of the Sangha, explaining, "This door latch belongs to this room, and it has this many furnishings." Explain all the furnishings one by one. Distribute in order according to the monks' seniority and whether they possess qualities. It is like taking a bowl, etc. If one abandons the bowl, it becomes a downfall. From the items distributed to the Sangha, if the person in the first position says they do not want it and pushes it down, if it is requested three times, it is like giving it again. If one says they do not want the room and it is taken back, it is like requesting it multiple times, each time committing an offense, until it is given at the end of the third request. If it is not given, the Sangha will become discordant. Know that if the distributed items are not for the stupa and Sangha, they are distributed according to seniority. If one knowingly enters the discipline and arranges the room, but leaves privately for their own benefit, even if the Sangha does not distribute their share of the room in order, there is no fault. If there are remaining rooms, the rooms that no one wants are given to the inner circle. For the sake of the Three Jewels, those sent by the Sangha are given rooms in order. Under the trees, in blue areas, in meadows, and on hills, distribution is also done according to the order of seniority. If a monk is walking on the road and desires something, give the elders warm places. If it is hot, place them in shady and cool places. If one room is not enough, give two, etc.

Ultimately, it is resolved with just mats. When allocating rooms, if there are not enough rooms and there are many people, arrange two, three, or even more people in one room. Even if this is done, if there are still many people and not enough space, spread mats in the room, and accommodate as many people as the mats can hold. The places for bowls, pills, communal containers, cushions, and toothpicks should be separate. Like the back of the assembly hall, if there are many people and not enough space, allocate according to the size and number of mats. For the places where those people's pills, bowls, and other utensils are placed, reserve one mat's space in addition to the number of people. Do not allocate the gatehouse, staircase, corridor, assembly area, and bathroom. These places mentioned by name are for the common use of the Sangha, so no matter how many people there are, do not allocate them, leave them as they are. Bedding is not for nighttime. The allocation of bedding is done during the day, not at night. The room where a sick person resides is not for others. When allocating rooms, if there is a sick person residing there, allocate in order, without making the sick person uncomfortable. Leave the sick person in the original room, and allocate others in order. If the sick person cannot obtain a room, do not fail to give it. The room where a sick person resides is the cause for a virtuous Bhikshu. Even if the sick person is not candid, do not move him because of the severity of the illness. Do not assign him to work with servants. Do not appoint a sick Bhikshu or the person caring for the sick to Sangha duties. A leper should not use the Sangha's bedding. If a Bhikshu develops leprosy, do not allow him to use the Sangha's bedding, rooms, etc., because it will become a burden for him. Give a monastery in a remote area. The place to accommodate a Bhikshu with leprosy is in a secluded area on the edge of the monastery, where he should live separately from other Bhikshus. Do not let him stay in the residence, the Sangha's corridor, open space, any door, outer corridor, construction, or between shade trees where other Bhikshus reside and use. That Bhikshu with leprosy should not reside or use the rooms where other Bhikshus reside and use, nor the corridors, etc. mentioned above. Do not let him go to the toilet. Do not let the leper go to the Sangha's toilet. Give him help with compassion.
