A downfall occurs if one goes beyond forty-nine 'doms' (འདོམ་, a unit of measurement, approximately equal to an arm span). No rent is charged for summer residences. If a monastery is rented out and rent is collected, it is a misdeed. This is neither for the benefit of the family nor for one's own benefit. If the fields and properties of deities, etc., are previously assessed and any householder cultivates and resides there, and for the sake of profit, it is seized from the former and allowed to be cultivated by others, it is a downfall. The expansion of summer residences is wasted. Expanding a monastery is a downfall. Wandering in the countryside during the summer. Having entered the summer retreat, a bhikshuni is not allowed to stay even one night in a place without lodging; if she goes to a place without lodging and spends the night, it is a downfall. There is no downfall when there is an obvious obstacle. During the retreat, if a factor arises that endangers life or hinders celibacy, even if one goes to a place without lodging, there is no fault. Not having emerged from the summer retreat. Having started the summer retreat, if one moves away from the place where one is staying in retreat and does not leave, it is a downfall. If one goes to a place without lodging and spends the night, during the retreat, if one returns to the original place of residence, it will not be a downfall, according to the commentary 'ཊཱི་ཀ་'. Some Vinaya holders say that simply leaving for one day and then returning does not constitute a downfall. If there is a need, and there are dangerous factors such as robbers, bandits, and wild animals on the road of travel, if a bhikshuni embarks on that road, it is a downfall. There will also be conflict. If there is conflict in the country, with people harming each other, like war, if one enters and leaves, it is a downfall. Wasting use and non-use. The downfall of going to a place without lodging and not going to a place without lodging. Going to places of deities, etc., and attacking. Going to the abode of the 'Mur-dug' deities, and to the villages, headmen, ministers, and homes of people like 'Mi-dra-ma' of 'Mur-dug', boasting of the Dharma, and idling around, is a downfall. Not having the opportunity to inquire and cultivate. If listening to the Dharma from a bhikkhu father, without first requesting permission to say anything, inquiring and listening to the teaching is a downfall. Give a seat, make him happy, inquire about the sangha, create an opportunity. If requesting a bhikkhu father to teach the Dharma, also spread out a seat, offer hospitality, and inquire whether he holds the Vinaya or something else.

If a bhikkhuni holds a view that is in accordance with her own questions, she should request the Dharma to be taught. If she speaks carelessly, she will commit an offense due to speaking. If she goes alone outside, or if a bhikkhuni goes outside alone at night to urinate or defecate, she will commit an offense. To urinate or defecate on green grass, or to urinate or defecate and trample on a place where green grass is growing, is also an offense. There is no offense when one is sick, except when a sick person is unable to go to a place with green grass to urinate or defecate. If all is covered with green grass, and there is no place to urinate or defecate, there is no fault even if one urinates or defecates. To urinate or defecate next to a wall without observing, if one pours out from a urine or feces container, one should observe what is next to the wall, etc., and then pour it out. There is no offense when it is next to a wall surrounded by bushes. To pour urine or feces from the top of a house with bushes, because it is impossible to watch and observe, there is no fault even if one pours it out without observing. Do not pour out unclean things, do not pour urine, feces, and unclean things into muddy places. Offenses related to urination and defecation. The separate offenses are complete. The 180 offenses of bhikkhunis are complete. The eleven pratimoksha vows of bhikkhunis will be explained: Is it permissible to take milk from another family for oneself and drink it? If one takes milk from a non-relative, not for oneself, one must confess separately. To beg for it is a misdeed. When begging before the milk is obtained and before it is drunk, one commits a misdeed. Yogurt, raw butter, cooked butter, mustard oil, honey, brown sugar, meat, fish meat, and dried meat. If one begs for and eats these nine things from a non-relative householder, one commits an offense. If one obtains these and begs from others, it is not writing. From the milk that has been begged for, whatever is obtained, such as yogurt, must be confessed separately. The bad is also the same. From begging for bad food, etc., whatever of the ten good things is obtained must be confessed separately. Even if one obtains these, one thinks it is included in that, for example, if one begs for yogurt but obtains whey, one must confess separately. If one begs for yogurt but obtains something rough, one must also confess separately. This is a misdeed. A bhikkhuni begging for food, etc., is also a misdeed. A lion is also the same. A bhikkhu from the four pratimoksha vows
