After shaving the head, take a bath for the sake of purity. Except for washing once every half month and during the five seasons, bathing is allowed. Wash the five limbs. If cold occurs, there is no fault in washing the five limbs, which are the head and the four limbs. Do not bathe naked. When bathing, do not bathe naked. A bhikshuni should not be in front of men. A bhikshuni should not bathe in a bathing place where many men gather. Do not use flour to arouse suspicion in women. In a women's bathing place, bathing is allowed, but it is not allowed to bathe with flour, alkali, bean flour, etc., because rubbing and massaging can arouse desire. Mixing bean flour etc. with fragrance should also be examined. When a bhikshuni bathes, it is also allowed to mix bean flour etc. with fragrance. Mixing with fragrance is because one desires it oneself. Accepting it is also allowed. If others give flour and flour mixed with fragrance, it is allowed to accept it. Flour mixed with medicine is for the sick. Mixing flour with medicine, one can mix it oneself or others can give it. For using and accepting, the sick person is allowed. A bhikshuni should not throw flour at women. The bhikshuni Bhomma Thaye (Rough Great Mother) threw flour on the head of a woman named Zangmo (Good Hide), which caused her displeasure, so this precept was established. Do not climb a ladder without tying the back knot of the skirt. Do not climb a ladder from below where it appears exposed without tying the knot of the skirt. There is no fault in climbing from below a ladder, an earth ladder, or a boat ladder where it does not appear exposed. When climbing and descending a tree about a fathom (a Tibetan unit of length, approximately equal to the length of outstretched arms), the knot should also be untied. Otherwise, it is not like that. In other conduct where one does not climb a ladder, it is not necessary to untie the knot of the skirt. Do not open the mouth wide. If the mouth is opened, cover the mouth. Also cover the mouth when sneezing or calling out etc. Prepare a bathing cloth. In order not to bathe naked, there is no fault in holding a bathing cloth. Creatures gather in the sun. Do not use a patched bathing cloth or a bathing cloth where creatures gather in the sun. The three religious robes can also be used. Those with the qualities of diligence prepare a bathing cloth.

Washing away dirt and other oily things from the body with fish skin, and wiping it after heating it with fire will make it clean. A Bhikshuni should not rub with fists and rolled up clothes etc. in any case. A Bhikshuni should not rub or clean any part of the body in any case, such as calling by name in order to arouse desire. Do not wear clothes until the water has dried. After bathing, do not wear clothes until the water on the body is dripping wet. You can carry a cloth to wipe the body, such as a towel to wipe the water off the body. If not, you can squat for a moment and wipe with a bath towel.
