The relinquishment offense of transforming offered clothes, etc., into food is complete. A bhikkhuni, because of many travelers, urges [others], but dedicates it to herself. If four or more bhikkhunis come from elsewhere and say that food and utensils are not enough, and take food that has come from elsewhere, and do not treat it as food but take it as their own, then it becomes a relinquishment offense. It is dedicated for the sake of many travelers. The relinquishment offense of taking because it came from elsewhere and making it one's own is complete. It is also for the sake of the Sangha. If food and utensils placed in the Sangha's place are said to be insufficient, and are taken from elsewhere, and are not used for the Sangha but are used for oneself, it is a relinquishment offense. It is dedicated for the sake of the Sangha. The relinquishment offense of taking for the sake of the Sangha but using it for oneself is complete. To untie the meaning of binding for the purpose of possessing words. If a bhikkhuni begs or buys medicine from a man, and lust arises, and she stays for a long time, she binds and unties the medicine, and if she stays, she commits an offense by abandoning the medicine. Explanation. The relinquishment offense of lust arising and destroying and untying when buying medicine is complete. To possess clothes worth a hundred srangs, etc., that is, twenty karshapanas, etc. A bhikkhuni's remaining clothes, less than a hundred srangs in weight and less than twenty karshapanas in value, may be kept, but if a bhikkhuni keeps something that exceeds that weight and value, it becomes a relinquishment offense. Holding heavy clothes. The relinquishment offense of holding heavy and precious clothes is complete. The limit of five srangs is also the same. If one holds a light garment like silk, and the weight exceeds five srangs and the value exceeds twenty karshapanas, one commits a relinquishment offense because of the value. Holding relinquished clothes. Holding precious clothes
