Now, eating food that does not change is not a sin. It belongs to violating what has been learned, which is the three separate confessions. For a layman who has become poor, because the precept of not wanting to go to his house has been established, if he goes and eats food, it is a separate confession, and it is completed. The classification of separate confessions will be explained below. Appoint a monk to patrol the forest. Most monks, in order to observe whether there are thieves and savages in the location of the monastery, patrol and guard, and such monks should be warned. Within half a yojana, let him understand. The monk who is appointed to patrol and guard must patrol and understand within half a yojana. If you are afraid, make smoke. After patrolling, if savages or thieves are found, in order to let the companions know, a signal should be sent, making a gesture that there are many people, and in order to intimidate, a flag made of bark should be hung to make it visible. Also raise the flag. Companions do not come. In order not to know the way, grass leaves are discarded on the road, and the harvest is done with signs. Also, like many people lying down, a lot of grass is laid. Piles of leaves are piled on the road. The commentary on this sutra is located above. The above commentary is explained from the end of the one located above. If needed there, give breakfast. For those who are designated as monks patrolling the forest, because they are bigger and have defilements, they like others to lend them things. Companions too. If the monk patrolling the forest is afraid, he should also give companions, which is also lent to him. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning). If you know that there are savages and thieves and are afraid, you will commit a sin of confession, which is one branch. Even if you don't patrol the forest. If a monk who is assigned to patrol knowingly does not patrol when he is afraid, he will commit a sin of confession, which is one branch. If food is taken and eaten outside the fence in the forest. If a monk patrolling the forest takes food and eats it outside the boundary of a monastery that has not been patrolled, he will commit a sin of confession. Having these three branches is a separate confession. Guard and stir, and make it half. Some monks who are assigned to patrol the forest eat food and stay, while others are sent to patrol, and knowingly guard their companions eating food while being afraid.

If placed in a low place, it becomes an offense of confession. It is the same if entering a place other than a place of fear. Those monks who wander in the forest, taking food, if they eat it in another secluded place in a direction without fear, it is an offense. Understanding the examination of the forest, these are the four individual offenses of confession. Having been appointed as a forest wanderer, but not wandering in the forest, if one eats food on the road, the offense of confession is complete. The individual offenses of confession are complete.
