ག་ལ་སོགས་པ་ལས་ཆང་དུ་བྱས་པའི་ཚིགས་མ་ཟོས་ན་ལྟུང་བའོ། །ཕབས་ནི་འདུ་བྱེད་དོ། །ཕབས་ཟོས་ན་ཉེས་བྱས་སོ། །མྱོས་པར་བྱེད་པ་ནི་རྩ་བ་དང་སྡོང་པོ་དང་ལོ་མ་དང་མེ་ཏོག་དང་འབྲས་བུ་རྣམས་སོ། །མིང་གིས་སྨོས་པ་འདི་རྣམས་ལས་ཆང་དུ་བྱས་ཏེ་འཐུངས་པ་ནི་ལྟུང་བ། འདི་རྣམས་ལས་གག་ཀྱང་རུང་ཆང་དུ་ནི་མ་བྱས་ཀྱི་ཟོས་ན་སྨྱོས་པའམ་མི་དྲན་པར་འགྱུར་བ་ཞིག་ཟོས་ན་ཉེས་བྱས། ཆང་གི་དྲི་དང་རོ་མྱོས་པར་མི་བྱེད་པ་དང་བཏུང་བ་ཡང་ངོ༌། །ཁུ་བ་མྱོས་པར་མི་འགྱུར་ལ་ཁ་དོག་ཀྱང་ཆང་མི་འདྲ་ལ་རོ་ཆང་བྲོ་བ་ཞིག་འཐུངས་ན་ཉེས་བྱས། ཉེས་མེད་པ་ནི་ཁ་དོག་ཙམ་ཆང་འདྲ་བའོ། །མྱོས་པར་ཡང་མི་འགྱུར་ལ་རོ་ཡང་ཆང་མི་བྲོ་ན་ཁ་དོག་ཆང་འདྲ་བ་འཐུངས་ཀྱང་ཉེས་མེད་དོ། །སྦྱོར་བ་བཞིན་དུ་མྱང་བ་དང་ལུས་ལ་ཉུག་པའོ། །ཆང་གིས་ལུས་ལ་བྱུགས་པ་དང་ཁར་བླུགས་ཏེ་མྱངས་ནས་ལྟོར་མ་མིང་པར་སླར་བོར་བ་ནི་ཉེས་བྱས། ན་བ་ལ་ནི་ལྟུང་བ་མེད་དོ། །ནད་པ་ལ་ནི་ཕན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཆང་གིས་ལུས་ལ་བྱུགས་སམ་ཁས་མྱངས་ཏེ་ལྟོར་མ་མིད་པ་ནི་ཉེས་མེད་དོ། །ཆང་འཐུངས་པའོ། །ཆང་འཐུང་བའི་ལྟུང་བ་རྫོགས་སོ།། །།དུས་མ་ཡིན་པར་ལྟུང་བ་ལ་འཆད་དེ། འྦྷྲིད། ཕྱི་དྲོ་དུས་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཤེས་བཞིན་ལས་ལྟུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་ཡན་ལག་གཅིག །དུས་མ་ཡིན་པ་དུས་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཕྱི་དྲོ་གྲོང་དུ་སོང་བ་ལས་ལྟུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་ཡན་ལག་གཅིག །དགེ་སློང་ཡོད་པ་ལ་མ་བྱས་ནའོ། །དགེ་སློང་ཡོད་པ་ལ་མ་ཞུས་པར་སོང་བ་ལས་ལྟུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་ཡན་ལག་གཅིག་གཞན། གྲོང་དུ་འཇུག་ནའོ། །དུས་མ་ཡིན་པར་གྲོང་དུ་ཡང་སོང་བ་ལས་ལྟུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་ཡན་ལག་གཅིག་གྲོང་དུ། དེ་སྟེ་ངེས་པར་དགོས་པར་འགྲོ་ན་མ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཆོམ་པོའམ་འཇིགས་པའི་རྐྱེན་ཅིག་བྱུང་སྟེ་སོང་བ་ནི་ཉེས་པར་མི་འགྱུར་གྱི་འཇིགས་པའི་རྐྱེན་མེད་པར་སོང་པ་ལས་ལྟུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་ཡན་ལག་གཅིག །གཞན་དུ་འཕོ་ན་ཉེས་བྱས་པའོ། །གྲོང་འདིར་འགྲོའོ་ཞེས་བྱས་པ་ལས་དེ་ཉིད་དུ་སོང་ཡང་རུང་མ་སོང་ཡང་རུང་གྲོང་གཞན་དུ་སོང་ན་ཉེས་བྱས། དེར་དགེ་སློང་མེད་ན་དགེ་སློང་མའང་དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །ཕྱི་དྲོ་གྲོང་དུ་འགྲོ་སྟེ་དགེ་སློང་མེད་ན་དགེ་སློང་མ་ལ་དྲིས་ཏེ་སོང་ཡང་ཉེས་མེད་དོ། །དེ་ནའང་དགེ་སྦྱོང་ལའོ། །དྲིར་དགེ་སློང་མ་ཡང་མེད་ན་དགེ་སྦྱང་ལ་དྲིས་ཏེ་སོང་ཡང་ཉེས་མེད་དོ། །དེ་ནའང་དགེ་སློབ་མ་ལའོ། །དྲིར་དགེ་སྦྱོང་ཕའང་མེད་ན་དགེ་སློབ་མ་ལ་དྲིས་ཏེ་སོང་ཡང་ཉེས་མེད་དོ། །དེ

If one eats the residue made into alcohol from barley, etc., it is a downfall. Phabs means 'to make'. If one eats phabs, it is a misdeed. It is also acceptable to drink something that smells and tastes like alcohol but does not intoxicate. If it neither intoxicates nor tastes like alcohol, there is no offense even if one drinks something that looks like alcohol. Tasting and applying to the body as usual.
