Then, for each offense, it will lead to a downfall. Sleeping with a woman. The downfall of sleeping with a woman is complete. Now, explaining the act of intimidation. Even if it's just wanting to joke around, if you say "intimidate," meaning some kind of frightening thing, then for a bhikshu, whether it's intentional intimidation or joking intimidation, as long as it's to make someone feel fear and hatred, such as saying "there will be ghosts or something like that coming," or simply dressing up as a ghost to intimidate, if it makes the bhikshu feel scared and frightened, it will lead to a downfall. Others too. If you have someone else intimidate the bhikshu, saying "you go intimidate that bhikshu," it will also lead to a downfall. Even if fear doesn't arise. Intimidating to make the bhikshu feel fear, even if the bhikshu doesn't feel scared and frightened, it will lead to a downfall. The root cause is displeasure in the mind. The situations that lead to a downfall are, if you intimidate with disgusting images like ghosts, unpleasant sounds, foul smells, and unpleasant things, it will lead to a downfall, and the specifics will be explained later. For example, saying "there will be hungry ghosts, flesh-eaters, urn-shaped ghosts, rotting corpses," etc., or saying "there will be something as black as burnt charcoal." Unpleasant things are these, if you say "there will be any of these images appearing," it will also lead to a downfall. Also, the sounds of lions, tigers, leopards, foxes, wolves, and wild boars. Even if you just say "there will be something like these things appearing," or make these sounds to intimidate, it will lead to a downfall. Also, the smell of feces, urine, and thick phlegm. If you intimidate by saying "there will be a smell like these things appearing," it will also lead to a downfall. Also, contact with rough nettles, hives, and rashes. If you intimidate by saying "there will be something as rough as these things," it will also lead to a downfall. Pleasant things lead to offenses. Intimidating with pleasant things like images of gods and pleasant sounds leads to offenses, and the specifics will be explained later. For example, mentioning gods, nagas, yakshas, non-humans, or large belly-goers. Pleasant things are, if you say "there will be an image like these things appearing," or say "the image of these things

Even if speaking with a changed tone, a minor offense is committed. For example, threatening someone by saying to the image of a property owner, merchant, or captain, "Someone like a steward, wealthy person, or rich person will come to harm you," constitutes a minor offense. Using the sounds of musical instruments like the bhana, even saying that sounds like the names mentioned above will be emitted, or using these sounds to threaten, constitutes a minor offense. Using the fragrance of agarwood, sandalwood, saffron, and tamala leaves, even saying that a smell like the names mentioned above will be emitted, or using these smells to threaten, constitutes a minor offense. Using silk, wool, leather, and fabrics called Abshuka, Dugula, and Koduabaka, even saying that it will be as soft as the names mentioned above, or using these soft things to touch and threaten, constitutes a minor offense. Unless it is for the sake of inducing aversion. If one speaks of what is unpleasant and terrifying, it does not constitute a downfall, because in order to separate people from attachment and make them averse to samsara, even if one proclaims unpleasant and disagreeable Dharma, there is no fault. Therefore, in order to make people averse, telling stories of sentient beings in hell, animals, hungry ghosts, and humans, etc., there is no downfall. In order to make people averse and detach from attachment, proclaiming the suffering, terror, and harm of sentient beings in the five realms of samsara, such as those in Naraka (Sanskrit, Naraka, 地狱), and the impurity of things, there is no fault in proclaiming and telling these things. The downfall of hating and cursing ends here. The following explains the downfall of hiding: Here, the possessions of an ordained person, such as a bowl, clothes, utensils, a cup, and a belt, etc., are necessities for the life of a practitioner. If these things are hidden, for those who have ordained in the Buddha's Dharma, whether it is a bhikshu, bhikshuni, shramana, shramanerika, or the parents of a bhikshu, hiding the items mentioned above by name constitutes a downfall. If the hidden item is not one of the names mentioned above, but is an item that the bhikshu considers clothing and is attached to, it also constitutes a downfall. If a bhikshu hides something that is not considered clothing, it constitutes a minor offense. Causing others to hide is also the same; if a bhikshu or shramana causes others to hide items, it also constitutes a downfall. Unless it is for the sake of helping others.
