It is not a fault for the elderly and those with wrinkles to look in the mirror, because they will perceive impermanence and strive for virtue, so it is without fault. Do not make three finger marks. When applying white earth or sandalwood to the body, do not make finger marks. Do not apply safflower juice. Because the fragrance comes from the elephant's stomach, it should not be used to anoint the body. It is not fragrance. All fragrances should not be used to anoint the body. For the sake of merit, use fragrant powder to anoint the feet. If a patron gives fragrance and says it is not permissible not to anoint the body, then anoint the feet for the benefit of the eyes. Do not wipe it off in front of them. After anointing the feet with fragrance, do not wipe it off until the patron has left. After anointing, one should not attend Sangha gatherings.
