From the size of a barley grain onwards, if one dwells there, there are individual changes. Within the area surrounded by the Ramoche (a subsidiary temple of the Jokhang), if one sleeps, a little more than a fathom's distance, a Bhikshuni sleeping is a minor offense. From where I sleep to the size of my own dwelling, separated, after that, a Bhikshuni sleeping is not an offense. What separates them are the roots of trees, cracks in walls, and bushes, etc. Together with a Bhikshu, leaves of trees mixed like wings, sleeping under a place covered above, or the walls of a house being empty like a cave, unable to pass through each other, or cracks in a cliff being empty, sleeping inside, or like a vine entwined above, or sleeping in the midst of bushes, are minor offenses. Sleeping with a lovely woman is also a minor offense. In a forest, or grass, or dense bushes, sleeping close to a woman will incur a minor offense, and how close is explained below. That path is where a crow flies up and lands. Like the view of the Sutra School (a Buddhist school), the distance at which a minor offense is incurred is sleeping together within the distance where a crow flies up and lands, incurring a minor offense. Even if sleeping in a small room, as long as it is within the distance where a crow flies up, one will fall. In the middle of all these, if it is passable, without other houses obstructing, it is one entity. The outer wall of a house is a whole, with individual rooms inside, the courtyard in the middle is narrow, without a door or without a dividing door, a Bhikshuni sleeps in a small room, a Bhikshu sleeps in the middle, one will fall. Each is a portion belonging to oneself, if it is bolted with a latch, it is also a boundary. The outer wall of a house is a whole, with different interiors, one Bhikshu sleeps, closing the door tightly, another Bhikshu will not fall even if sleeping. Similarly, a Bhikshu must also guard against falling. A woman is also guarded by a Bhikshu in turns, and one will not fall even if sleeping. The same is true for a woman guarded by the owner. A woman living with a family, even if sleeping in a doghouse, will not fall for one day, but if more than two days pass, sleeping with someone who has not received Bhikshu ordination is considered falling. If going up in order, the ladder is removed. If I sleep upstairs, and let a woman or Bhikshuni sleep downstairs, and bring the ladder up to sleep, there is no offense. What is being copied is someone other than a family member. House

If a monk sleeps within one adhom (approximately two meters) of a place that is half abandoned and half surrounded, or outside the door of a house without a roof, on open ground or in a separate space, it is a dukkaṭa. Sleeping with one who is not fully ordained in a village for three nights. Sleeping with one who is not fully ordained in the same house for three nights, exceeding two nights, is a pācittiya. Touching (one who is not fully ordained). If dawn breaks at the end of three nights, it becomes a pācittiya. After that, it is a dukkaṭa. Sleeping with a bhikkhunī for two to three nights before dawn is a dukkaṭa. There is no offense if one is exhausted and intoxicated from the road. If one has come from a long road and interrupts the journey, intending to rise before dawn of the third night, there is no offense. The end of such situations is also the same. If a monk who is interrupted like a seam intends to rise before dawn but falls asleep due to excessive fatigue and dawn breaks, there is no offense. An unexamined monk doing this, and also with a sick person, is the same. If a monk, in order to care for a sick person, examines and gives what is needed, and places the bhikkhunī elsewhere, if there is no place to go or the sick person is uncomfortable, placing her nearby, neither the sick person nor the monk caring for the sick person will commit a pācittiya. The same applies to a bhikkhunī. Furthermore, there are also cases where sleeping with a bhikkhunī does not result in a pācittiya, which will be explained below. Because there is such a case. If there is a monk in training or a female attendant, sleeping with that bhikkhunī will not result in a pācittiya, which will be explained below. If there is an evil monk in that place. If in our residence there is an evil monk who seduces, robs, or engages in unchaste conduct with the buttocks of a bhikkhunī, my disciple sleeping with a bhikkhunī for more than two nights is not an offense. Efforts are made or are being made to expel (that monk). If there is an evil monk in our sangha, we should also expel him. If we are unable to expel him, we should inform the king or minister, and he should also be expelled, in the later period, within the first two months. If we are unable to expel the evil monk, even if we enter the later retreat, after two months we should dissolve the precepts, let our monks enter first, and perform the karma. We should not stay any longer. After entering the later retreat
