If that vessel is made of copper, then make the holes with iron rings. Hold it. There is no fault in holding a vessel made of bronze and copper. If water is not given, then repeatedly tap with a flat object. If the water strainer is good and water cannot come out, then tap with a flat piece of wood, just enough to prevent water from spilling. Tap the water strainer. As above, if the water strainer cannot leak, then tap the mouth of the strainer and wet it. It is economical to use a single-layer strainer. In order to filter water, make the bottom of the copper with holes, and holding it will be less work, economical, and easy. Holding that water-filtering strainer, there is no fault in holding a single-layer copper strainer. Bronze is also made of copper. The so-called single-layer strainer can be made of bronze or copper. That, like a pottery, has a hole at the bottom, inside like a lotus. It has holes. The so-called single-layer strainer is made like a pottery or copper, and inside the bottom is made bulging like the heart of a lotus, and then the inside of the bottom is made empty, with pores, and then the pores are made transparent, and then cover them with cloth. Make holes in the bulging place, cover them with cloth, and tie the bulging place firmly with a rope, and then pour water into that vessel to filter, so that sentient beings will not run away. The water strainer should be thin. Later, apart from the two water strainers mentioned, there is no fault in holding other water strainers, which will be discussed below. Strainer or. The ordinary sixth water container, or Dharma instrument, or like a kundika, also make holes in the mouth, and also make large holes in the bottom, and block the holes in the bottom with a strainer, and also. Flat draining. Put the flat cloth into the water, spread it out, and then collect it, and squeeze it in the vessel, so that sentient beings will not stick to it, and you can take any of these three. Check whether it is taking water, or accomplishment, or the vessel and common rules are all in those. Going alone, even without a water strainer, the easy way is to put the filtered water, either into a ball or into a vessel, and carry it, as long as it is within the amount that can be carried, there is no fault. Without those, do not travel in the village. Without a water strainer and a kundika, do not travel in the village. Do not be with someone who has malice. If you do not have a water strainer, but someone who has malice has a water strainer, do not travel together in the village, because they will not give it to you. However, if you encounter such a circumstance

If one can endure, then endure. If there is a cause for resentment or incompatibility, then request endurance. If it is agreed in advance to borrow things like water filters, then go and borrow them. If there is something to do, then do it. If I have a water filter, but someone else has one, and others can use it, but I cannot use it myself, can I borrow it? If everyone can use it, then it is the same as if I owned it myself, and there is no fault. Therefore, if someone else promises to give alms, it is the same. If going alone, and a companion has a water filter, and everyone uses it together on the road, and it is agreed to borrow it, and they promise to give alms, then it is the same as if I owned it myself, and there is no fault. If separating and not promising to give alms, then one can only use it in one's own place and cannot rely on others. If a companion going alone has a water filter, and they separate on the road or do not lend it, then it is equivalent to not having a water filter, and if one goes, there is a fault. Not abandoning and fully using is using. If going alone, and one does not need to use water until reaching the other person's place, and one goes on such a road, even if one does not have a water filter, there is no fault. The distance of five cubits is the same. Even if one does not need to use water within the distance of five cubits, there is no fault in going without a water filter. Putting down the water filter and going to a place, if there is no water filter there, then it is not one's own fault. If going alone, and one is not confident of finding a water filter at the other person's place, and one puts down the water filter and goes, then that is laziness and negligence, and there is a fault. If one can borrow a water filter at that place, or if there are virtuous people who will filter the water, and one is confident that one does not need to use a water filter, even if one does not bring a water filter, there is no fault. One person's situation also applies to many people, even up to the Sangha. If going alone, and one person has a water filter, and it can be borrowed, and everyone can use it, then the Sangha can abide, and no matter how many people there are, there is no fault in others not bringing a water filter. A rapid current is not abandoning. If the upstream current is very rapid, saying that there are no insects, this is not a matter of putting down or not putting down the water filter, but it must be filtered. If the current is determined, and one walks together in the current, then one should filter within the distance of five cubits. If the speed of the water is about the same as oneself, wherever one stops, one should drop a blade of grass or something as a marker at the place where the water is filtered, and then within the distance of five cubits...
