Pour some in, and if oil or grease seeps out from the seams of the cloth and becomes visible, then remove it and discard it. Wash the contaminated side. If the alms bowl and utensils, etc., are touched by oil or food, wash thoroughly where they are touched, but do not wash the other clothes. It is sufficient to rinse the utensils with something else. To prevent oiliness, put oily pottery, etc., into a deep pool of water. If pottery and other utensils are used as containers for butter and do not absorb oil, put them in a pond. Leave them until the fish, turtles, frogs, white frogs, and worms called Ulukka do not lick them. As it says in the Sutra, putting them in a pond, if these named worms lick them, they will become oil-free and clean. Leave them for two or three days until they lick them clean. Or burning them can also make them oil-free. To make pottery oil-free, burning it with fire will also make it oil-free and clean. After it is oil-free, the monk should thoroughly wash it with ashes or alkali. As it says in the Sutra, utensils washed in fire or in a pond should also be washed once more with ashes or alkali afterward. Salty, alkaline, and turbid water are considered salty water, etc. If salty water, alkaline water, and turbid water are drunk in the morning without being given and received, it is an offense. In the afternoon, even if they are given and received before drinking, it is still an offense. This is after examination, i.e., at inappropriate times and at all times. Salty and alkaline water, if filtered or clarified and examined, can be drunk at inappropriate times and without being given and received. All sick people and non-monks are allowed to drink it without offense. Not needing to use it oneself means it is without salt and alkali. The standard for salty water is that if vegetables or porridge are cooked in that water and there is no need to add salt separately, it is considered salty water. Alkaline water is considered to be water that can clean oil and other stains from clothes. If it does not meet this standard, there is no offense in drinking it in the afternoon or morning without being given and received. If a reflection appears, it is the latter case. Turbid water, if filtered or clarified and a reflection of one's face appears in it, it is not the standard for turbid water.

It is also counted, and it can be drunk in the afternoon. The fruit of the Kataka tree can clarify water. If the fruit of the Kataka tree is put into turbid water, the turbidity will settle to the bottom and the water will become clear. To clarify the water in a puddle, one can put in leaves, for example. Ash or fermented matter can also be used. If ash is sprinkled into turbid water, or fermented lees are put in, the water will also become clear. To prevent separation, oil should be used. When fermented lees are put into water, to prevent them from separating, they should be made into a powder with oil. If one enters a water source and cannot be seen, it is counted as the number of people present. If there is food in a pond or well, and the water has the taste of food, if it cannot be seen, it is counted as being in clear water, and there is no fault. The part that is touched should be removed a little. If the oil in a container rises and is separated by the surface grease, or if the water in a pond or well is covered with food and greasy foam, a little should be removed and discarded, or mixed together and taken from the clear water, there is no fault. If touched by a crow's beak, a little should also be removed. If a crow's beak touches one's own food, the touched part should be cut off and discarded. If it is something that has already been given and received, it should be given and received again before eating. Continuous contact related to this is not considered contact. If water flows out of a pot and continuously touches food and impure things, residing in the pot is not considered contact, because it is not counted as an impure thing. Being confused or losing memory is not. In order to hold something else, being confused or forgetting is also acceptable, holding and touching a container with food is not considered contamination, there is no fault. It is not supported and placed with those things. Like a sewing needle case, if one mistakenly holds a container of food, lifts it up and moves it elsewhere, even if the position is changed, it is not considered contamination, there is no fault. Transferring to a very small place. Like a sewing needle case, if one mistakenly transfers the position, and realizes it while carrying it, instead of throwing it away casually, transferring it to the nearest place is also not considered contamination, there is no fault. Not lifting or giving and receiving carelessly. Even if a monk has not committed a pārājika offense, but is lax and does not guard against the sangha's remnants and offenses, even if he gives and receives
