Bhikkhu, and from the alms distributed by the Sangha, such as begging bowls and other related matters, all the other assemblies and designated places, taken without eating and not eaten. These mentioned above, if a bhikkhu eats before the Sangha or eats separately, there is no offense. Apart from these, any bhikkhu, no matter what, if he eats before the Sangha or receives and eats separately, he commits an offense. This is Sangha food. Eating separately in a place where many Sanghas gather is complete. Now explaining the downfall of untimely eating: From my midday until dawn, it is untimely. Wherever I reside in the eastern, southern, western, or northern continent, from midday until dawn in that continent, it is untimely, that is, eating any of the five foods and five processed foods, etc., will lead to downfall. From dawn to midday is the right time, and even if eaten, there is no offense. Eating breakfast in the eastern continent and then going to the southern continent to eat, because it is midday in the east and dawn in the south, it is permissible to eat. Similarly, from south to west, from west to north, and from north to east. Guiding there. Knowingly eating untimely and expired food will lead to downfall. Eating food and processed food. Eating food and processed food at the wrong time will lead to downfall. This is untimely food. The downfall of eating untimely food is complete. Now explaining the downfall of stale food: Receiving before the meal, and after the meal or there, if the time limit has passed, it is stale food. For food and processed food, if it is intended to be eaten before noon, and it is given in the morning, then before noon, if a householder or a renunciate picks it up from the ground, then it can be eaten at any time thereafter. The food given in the morning, if it is intended to be eaten at noon, but after noon it is picked up by a householder or a renunciate, then it cannot be eaten thereafter, and eating it will lead to downfall. The food given in the morning, if it is not eaten at noon, and is not touched by a householder, then after noon it is stale food, it cannot be eaten, and it will lead to downfall. Just as passing noon will lead to downfall, if it is given after noon and intended to be eaten in the afternoon, but the sun sets and it is completely dark, it is also considered stale food. Guiding there. Food I

Having received alms and knowingly eating after noon and afternoon, one will commit a downfall. What is picked up is not swallowed. Having received alms in the morning, intending to eat at noon, even if it is picked up and touched by laypeople and monks, it is okay to eat in the afternoon, but if one eats without receiving alms again, one will commit a misdeed. It is not kept inside the boundary and cooked. Food that a monk has not touched and has not received alms, that has been kept overnight within a boundary, and food that has been cooked and prepared by laypeople within a boundary, eating it will also be a misdeed. Even if it is cooked within a boundary, but the Sangha dedicates it through the ritual of supplication and request, there is no fault. Dedication through supplication also has three ways: initially, when laying the foundation, dedicating it to all the Sangha; an old house where all the Sangha stay outside a boundary for one night, and then it can be dedicated to everyone, like in these three situations, making a supplication is permissible for dedication. What is cooked by a monk is also. What is cooked by a monk outside the boundary is also a misdeed. If it is raw, then it is cooked. Cooking with the two backs of the Sutra means reheating what has already been cooked, there is no fault, but if it is not cooked, and it is cooked from raw, eating what is cooked will be a misdeed. Cooking one-third, up to the point where it is not soft, is there. The standard for being cooked is that hard foods such as barley, rice, and beans are cooked two-thirds, and soft foods become mushy, that is the standard for being cooked. Cooking one-third and not becoming soft is not cooked. If the color changes and it is soft too. Like vegetables and mustard greens, if the color changes and it becomes soft, it is cooked. If two parts of the liquid remain too. Boiling something like milk, if two parts remain, it is considered cooked. What has been tested with fire is also not uncooked. When performing the seven tests, testing with fire is also considered cooked, if a monk tests with fire, that monk will also have the downfall of destroying the mind, if one eats what that monk has tested, one will also commit the misdeed of eating what the monk has cooked, if someone else cooks what has been tested with fire, one will not commit the misdeed of cooking. From the day of taking the vow, the place where the emanation resides is also the place where one resides. Within a boundary, picking and eating fruits that grow on trees, and food that has been kept overnight within a boundary.
