If one eats twice as if having invited a saint, it is a downfall. That garment, if it is one cubit (khru gang) in circumference, counts. If one eats with the garment, even if one eats twice, it is not a downfall, it is said that the size of the garment is to give one cubit circumference or more, so eating food twice is not a downfall, smaller than that is a downfall. The road is half a krosha (dpag tshad phyed do). If one is on the road, even if one eats twice, it is not a downfall, because half a krosha, that is, going or arriving at four shouts (rgyang grags bzhi), one can eat at will. Elsewhere as well. On the road of eating separately, etc., if the time also goes to half a krosha, one can eat separately at will, because the time has arrived. This includes going by boat on the road. Going half a krosha on the road, the time has arrived, refers to: walking on foot and embarking on a boat, these two can eat at will, riding a horse and riding in a chariot, etc., even if one has gone half a krosha, the time has not arrived, so one cannot eat at will. Sweeping with a broom or smearing a place the size of a cow dung is work. If one does work, one can also eat at will, which refers to sweeping with a broom and smearing a place the size of a mandala, or sweeping a place the size of cow dung, the time has arrived, so one can eat at will. Doing the work of sweeping, one should first clean up. A mandala is made with cow dung or fine mud. That is for a stupa or a sangha. According to the sutra, sweeping the ground and making a mandala as before should be done in the temple where the sangha gathers or in the clean room of the stupa where the Buddha resides. The ground done elsewhere does not count as work. If one is sick to the point of not being able to work, it is also okay. The standard for being able to eat at will even when sick is that because one is sick to the point of not being able to work, one can eat at will even when sick. Long-term offering is not inviting a saint. If a patron offers food for six years or a lifetime, it cannot be said to be inviting a saint, but if someone else invites a saint separately and accepts it, there is no fault. If the patron offers both dough and barley continuously, one must still work even if one eats it. Just seeing it is also okay. If a friend borrows something and is eating and sitting, and I see that he has finished eating and left, and I say "Take it and eat it", and then eat it, it is also okay. After I have finished eating, I come to a place such as a nunnery and say "Borrowed things or food cannot be eaten", and then eat it, there is no fault. Even deceiving without is also okay. Even previous games are false.

If invited to a meal but there is no food, it is not a fault if one is later invited and eats elsewhere. Therefore, it is also the same for the Sangha. If a single bhikshu is needed, and is invited to join the Sangha out of affection, then even if the things needed in the name of the bhikshu are lent to others to eat, it is a fault to eat the food to which one was invited. Otherwise, it is not a fault even if I lend it to others or eat it in installments. If one is invited elsewhere instead of wandering aimlessly, it is not a fault even if one goes there. Give this to the other five. If invited to many places, it is not a fault if I allow a bhikshu father, bhikshu mother, male or female shramana, or shramanerika to borrow it, as one goes everywhere and cannot eat at will. That is the Dharma. It is also not a fault to allow borrowing as in the Sutra, because it is a very reasonable Dharma, so it is not a fault. Furthermore, enjoy! If I am receiving food, and the patron is distributing food, and another person sends food or wealth, it is not a fault to accept it for the purpose of offering it to the bhikshu and the Sangha, said Vijaya Varma. As stated in the Sutra, it is not a fault for the five bhikshus who are allowed to borrow to receive and eat food, said Vishuddha. In times of famine, one should accept as many invitations as possible. In times of bad harvests and famine, one should promise and go to many places to receive food. Eating is also the same. As stated in the Sutra, it is not a fault to eat many meals there after being invited to many places. Giving is also the same. In times of famine, if invited to many places and I cannot cover them all, it is not a fault to invite to many places and allow borrowing from the five bhikshus, and to give the remaining wealth to me. If the offering is not believed, then eat two or three mouthfuls or more, and tell the householder: This bhikshu is lacking in food, please rejoice, give to him, and generate faith. In times of famine, invited to many places, my stomach cannot hold
