I said it. I'll take it, don't come. As stated in the latter part of the Sutra, if a bed and seat are given as alms to another Sangha, if one does not go to receive it oneself, when going as a guest, I say do not bring your own cushion, as Vishuta said, that is how householders and novices are. The seat that is specially given as alms, if we return, we will give it to servants, householders, or practitioners. If not, entrust it to a householder to send it. If it cannot be given to practitioners and householders immediately, entrust it to householders and instruct them to send it. If they say I will take it and come, then leave it. As stated in the latter part of the Sutra, if you entrust it to a householder to send it, and they promise to send it, then leave the cushion. If they do not send it, have someone from the residence send it. If you entrust it to a householder to send it but they cannot, have the young monks send it. If not, send it yourself. If the person sending it, such as a householder, cannot send it, then I will send it. If no one can send it, then strike the ghanta. If that cushion that was given as alms needs to be sent by all the monks, then strike the ghanta to gather them and send it, or go to retrieve it. If a certain householder gives a bed and seat as alms for a feast, the method is the same, when being a guest in the temple, if a cushion is obtained for me, then give it as alms. If a householder offers wealth to offer a feast to the Sangha, and after that, the relatives and friends of that householder also offer food, if they say to offer a cushion, then before the Sangha arrives, offer the cushion. To protect those, leave a monk. As stated in the latter part of the Sutra, when going to offer cushions at a householder's relatives and friends' food offering, leave one practitioner as a lookout. They stay in one direction. That lookout should not enter the place where the householders are eating, but just watch from a distance and carefully guard. I myself must also work and sew. The monk who is appointed as a guard, in the spare time of guarding the cushions, I myself must also finish the work and so on. Let him stay there. If the householders finish eating and leave without tidying up the cushions, then the guarding monk must tidy up all the cushions and put them away. If they are not clean, wash them. If those householders' cushions are stained with meat and alcohol and become unclean, that monk must dust them off and wash them. If they are stained with dregs of alcohol, wash them with water. If the cushion is stained with alcohol or dregs of alcohol, wash it with water. If it is stained with oil, then use alkaline substances.

If the mat is stained with oil or other dirt, wash it with your hands. If it is not clean, wipe it with soil, a grass mat, or dry dung. If the mat is stained with vomit or filth, wipe it clean with dry dung, hands, etc., or a grass mat. If it cannot be wiped clean, cut off those fibers. If filth gets into the puppy's nest or between the fibers and cannot be wiped clean, cut off those fibers. If a layman sits and does not move, have whoever sees it drive him away. If a layman comes to the temple and a mat is laid out for hospitality, if the layman leaves without using the mat, whichever monk sees the mat should sit down. If the layman despises the mat or there is no guardian, have whoever sees it use it. If it is an old person or a sick person, give it to the temple manager. If a mat that a layman has sat on has not been used or moved away, if an old or sick monk sees it but cannot collect it, call the temple manager to collect it. Everyone should look after the sick person. All monks should visit a sick monk once a day, and if they do not visit, they have committed an offense. Just sit down. When someone is sick, ask about their condition. If you do not do so, you have committed an offense. Do not take a mat there. When going to visit a sick person, do not take a mat yourself, let the attendant put the mat there. For the sake of the monk who is coming to visit the sick person, let the attendant lay out the mat. If you go to rely on the Khenpo or Acharya, if that is the case, otherwise the merit of reliance will not increase, then follow behind. If the Khenpo and Acharya do not practice virtue in the temple, but teach the Dharma under a tree or by the water, the disciple himself, in order to obtain permission to listen to the Dharma, should also follow behind the Khenpo. You yourself should return his mat. The Khenpo and Acharya go to a secluded place to teach the Dharma, the mat is returned by the disciple. Do not go without asking. When a disciple follows behind the Khenpo and Acharya, he should also ask, "May I also follow behind?" before going. Bring it back yourself. The Khenpo and Acharya return from teaching the Dharma in a secluded place, if the disciple is not nearby, you yourself should return the mat. When listening to the Dharma in a place without shelter, if it is windy or rainy, give up your bedding. When performing the Uposatha or teaching the Dharma in a place without shelter, if it is raining while sitting
