Having mothers wash clothes, etc., and taking clothes from there; begging from householders and householders' wives; bargaining; obtaining bargained prices separately; searching for alms bowls; having weaving done; increasing weaving; robbing; lying; speaking of faults; slandering; causing discouragement; showing off; repeating; speaking of bad dwellings; speaking of the superior Dharma of humans; saying that one has done a favor for a friend; despising the training; cutting down trees; mocking and ridiculing; not heeding instructions; driving away; building walls higher than three levels; declaring without being asked; accusing of declaring for the sake of a little food; eating food arranged by nuns; having tsampa cut; having contact with fire; causing regret; causing fear; hiding utensils; accusing; digging the ground; making clothes with tree cotton, etc.; taking food at the nun's residence; eating food without being stopped—these are also wrongdoings. What is called "related to oneself" is a branch of one's own verbal expression that is related to oneself, not blaming others. This is what is taught: Whatever causes a fall is one's own verbal expression, saying, "I say this," or "I have someone do it," or "Do it for me," etc., which is a branch of one's own verbal expression that is related to oneself, not a verbal expression that blames others, such as saying, "He says that" through letters, etc., or "So-and-so says this," etc. If it is said that the meaning of "related to oneself" is accomplished by what was previously said, "one's own affair is the main thing," so that the expression of speech related to oneself is mainly one's own affair, then that is not so, because even for one's own affair, there is knowing by blaming others. For example, Deva says, "I am free from desire."

It is like identifying by saying "It is you yourself." Therefore, because saying "one's own interests are paramount" does not establish the meaning of "related to oneself," this sutra was written separately. Here, too, an example should be given: speaking of sexual matters by blaming others, and slandering others with flattery, praise, baselessness, and a small amount of truth, these are serious offenses. Having a non-relative bhikshuni wash clothes, etc., and taking clothes from them, begging from householders and householders' wives, demanding prices, obtaining by demanding separately, searching for bowls, having them weave and promoting weaving, robbing and lying, speaking of faults, gossiping, creating sorrow, showing off, repeating, speaking of bad situations, speaking of the superior qualities of fire, etc., if one says "it was done for the sake of a friend," despising the precepts, cutting down trees, mocking and ridiculing, not listening to advice, expelling and building walls higher than three tiers, showing off without permission, slandering by saying one is showing off for the sake of a little food, eating food that a bhikshuni has arranged, having them cut tsampa, having them touch fire, causing regret, causing hatred, selling utensils, digging the ground, making clothes with tree cotton, etc., and taking food from a bhikshuni's hand and eating food without stopping, these are also misdeeds. Arranging for oneself and having someone do it means other than killing and stealing for oneself. For matters other than killing and stealing for oneself, whatever is not ordered but is made to be done by others and subsequently promoted, the meaning of arranging oneself is that one personally arranges for someone to do it, this is a branch, because if one secretly arranges for someone to do it, such obvious attachment will not arise. Here, too, an example should be given: not arranging oneself personally, but secretly arranging for someone to do it, therefore speaking of sexual matters, and offering

Homage and praise! To slander with no basis and with slight basis is a gross offense. Having a non-relative bhikshuni wash clothes, etc., and taking clothes from there, begging from householders and householders' wives, obtaining adulterated or separately adulterated food, searching for a bowl, having someone weave, manufacture textiles, robbing, lying, speaking of faults, slandering, causing annoyance, showing off, repeating and speaking of bad situations, speaking of the superior Dharma of humans, saying that one has abandoned a spiritual friend, despising the training, cutting down trees, mocking and ridiculing, violating instructions, expelling, building walls more than three stories high, showing off without permission, slandering for a small amount of food, saying one is showing off, eating food mixed by a bhikshuni, having someone cut tsampa and touch fire, causing regret and hatred, hiding utensils, slandering, digging the ground and making clothes with tree cotton, having someone touch precious jewels, etc., taking food from a bhikshuni's hand, and eating without preventing it, these are also misdeeds. Most of the common statements belonging to the Pratimoksha have been completed. Ananda asked, saying that the Buddha's teachings, mostly belonging to the Pratimoksha, have been explained in common for all the bases of training. Volume 45. Having extensively explained the sutras related to the Pratimoksha, etc., now we will speak about the contents belonging to the basis of the Vinaya, and first we will explain the contents belonging to the basis of the Uposatha. The Blessed One said that the Uposatha is of two types: the Uposatha of tranquility and the corresponding Uposatha. Among them, because it is the main one, and because there are few things to say, first we will separately explain the Uposatha of tranquility. Therefore, it is said that one should not practice yoga by entering the sphere of activity. A bhikshu enters the sphere of activity, enters a village, comes out of the village, and practices yoga samadhi while walking on the road...
